THE PITT (2025-) Season 2, Episode 15 — 9:00 P.M.

GNASHES MY TEETH WILDLY. Nobody understands the fucking kingtos/kingdon evil love triangle potential like i do

santos LOVES mel because she is so sweet and forgiving and everything she feels like she can’t be and she HATES langdon because she sees him as this dickish privileged asshole white guy — like she thinks she absolutely doesn’t deserve her but thinks langdon deserves her even less. but she never ever talks shit about him in front of her (not in any serious way, anyway) because she sees how much she preens under his attention and how sweet he is to her specifically

langdon loves mel (because look at him) and he fucking HATES santos because he thinks she’s an egotistical hot-shot who is crass and cruel and assholish, even to kind gentle mel, and like wants to separate her from her at all costs but can’t bring himself to do it because he sees how happy mel is to have a friend in santos, that santos likes her and wants to spend time with her…

and there’s also this weird undercurrent post-langdon-rehab where they beef like crazy but a part of santos feels guilty for what she thinks was destroying his life—he lost his wife and almost lost his job, totally ruined all his chances at promotion—even though another part of her thinks he deserves it. and a part of langdon is thankful to her and knows that if she never reported him he would have never gotten the help he needed for his addiction but also his pride is so irreversibly damaged to the point where he can’t bring himself to befriend her…

in the morning santos sidles up next to mel by the charge nurse’s desk and goes “hey king, wanna see a movie together later? think you’d like this one,” and mel goes “oh sure that sounds really nice!” and santos smiles and shoots her awkward finger guns. and mel is there blushing at the desk. and immediately after santos leaves langdon replaces her spot and goes “morning mel, brought you your favorite snack because i know sometimes you skip breakfast silly!” and mel goes “oh gee frank that means so much to me thank you!”

and behind mel’s back santos goes up to langdon and hisses under her breath “I Will Kill You If You Hurt Her” and langdon goes “not if i get you first”

meanwhile mel is sitting in the break room, enjoying her muffin and excitedly texting becca about the movie she’s gonna see later thinking “i’m so grateful for my great work friends :)”

additions/revisions to the manifesto post season 2. my mind is huge

after karaoke night mel and santos have drunk sex. santos (jaded by garcia) likes mel a lot but also is a huge bitch and the next morning INSISTS that it is a casual/FWB situation

mel does NOT usually do this and she really liked santos so she’s about to say no but… her little sister has more of a sex life than her! she feels like the world is moving by without her! so she’s thinking to herself that she has to prove that she can be chill and cool and normal so she goes “sure!”

obviously they both kind of have feelings for each other so they keep doing relationshippy things together while santos keeps insisting that it’s just casual — mel keeping her clothes at her place, stuff like that. mel is frustrated by the distance between them but is too insecure to say anything so she keeps convincing herself that she can be chill

meanwhile langdon and mel keep getting closer, which santos HATES. maybe they’re not even romantically involved but they’re kind of closer than normal friends (secret third thing style) and at one point she snaps like “why do you even waste your time on this guy? he’s not worth your time, you should stop getting so close to him”

and mel (who up to this point has been okay about being chill with everything) finally snaps and is like “i thought we were CASUAL so what makes you think you can control who i associate with”

and it’s MESSY. and it’s MESSY….
