You know in the original myth, the idea is Medusa's face is so horrifying that it turns people to stone. So there's something to be said for the idea that Diana is immune to its effects purely because she sees the beauty in everyone.

Obviously Bruce Wayne traveling the world to train was a thing, but now I’m learning in Superman: Birthright that Clark Kent also spent several years traveling around the world learning journalism.

Now I have the image in my mind of superbat where they keep somehow accidentally running into each other in their travels all spiderman pointing meme. Strangers to Travel Buddies to Besties or Lovers.

Bruce being really paranoid of Clark Kent, novice reporter, and then immediately relaxing when Clark reveals that he’s an alien. Bruce at this point hasn’t suffered countless betrayals or had to fight ridiculous superpowered villains or obscene mind control schemes, and he’s figured by then that Clark Kent is a good person, so he’s only a little fussed about the superpowers. But the reveal that Clark is an alien? Now he knows that Clark is capable of discretion, and he has Mutually Assured Destruction if Clark does go blab to the press about where missing billionaire heir Bruce Wayne is.

For Clark, Bruce relaxing on the alien reveal is one of the few times in his life where the reveal is a positive thing and not a heart rending relationship destroying nightmare. I think it’d be really touching for him. Bruce would instantly shoot up from “kind of cool” to “if anybody hurts this man I’ll kill everyone in the vicinity and then myself” levels of regard.

The fact that animals that care for their young will sometimes adopt others' lost or orphaned young to raise along their own is just funny to me. I know that it's all hormonal and there's no conscious thought involved in it, but the internal logic of it is so funny.

The best piece of writing advice I can give is that you should strive to be sincere rather than original.

You can't force originality. Originality will arise as a natural consequence of sincerity. Make the story completely and apologetically yours, and originality will come by virtue of it being your story.
