Hey, I thought I might make myself an introduction for my side blog while leaving my main to rot.

I'm Melk on this account, but idgaf. I just tried to find a short username that still looked like a word.

I'm an aroace spectrum queer. I use he/him and enjoy the occasional they/them if used with love.

I'm 19 and figuring my path out, as you do at this age.

My main is @oneaugg where I mostly just reblog other fandom shit I'm interested in and very occasionally make my own post.

I'm currently listening to Stephen Fry's audio book, Sherlock Holmes: The Definitive Collection, but I haven't finished it yet. I also own 2 physical copies of the stories.

I've only been in the ACD Sherlock fandom for a few months, and I have only watched one episode of BBC Sherlock.

Absolutely LOVE the Sidney Paget illustrations (if you couldn't tell) and hoping to make some drawings myself soon, but we will see.

Every time someone reblogs something I post and adds their own little thing to it, I gain another year of life.

Fun fact: it was considered improper for an English gentlemen to be out and about with his walking stick. If a man has forgotten his stick, the socially correct thing to do is to link arms with another man who has his walking stick, and be escorted back home, so the stick-less man can retrieve his walking stick. In a time when homosexuality was a literal crime, this was the only time a man could hold onto another man in public.

I'm 90% sure the original book said, at least once if not more, that Holmes "purposefully forgot his walking stick once more" and thus "linked arms" with Watson

Sherlock Holmes Versus Jack the Ripper! I absolutely adore this game.

You can get it on Steam. All the Sherlock games go on sale frequently, so I'd recommend looking out for that

I was the Sherlock Holmes Museum yesterday (VERY silly and fun I definitely recommend!!) and in the gift shop they have prints and I wasn’t going to get one cause I wanted other stuff but felt compelled to look through them and found this gay ass print of Sherlock and Watson strolling through the snow arm in arm and HAD to get it - also the tour guide kept insinuating that they were roommates “only for rents sake” but then would pause and give us all *the look* and I’m obsessed that the museum is like hey we canonically cannot say they were gay BUT👆 we can sure as hell imply it
