Welcome to my blog! I've been running a small Pokémon babysitting business outta my house for a few months now, so I decided it would be a fun idea to make a blog dedicated to sharing some fun things that happen. I don't really know how rotomblr works so I guess imma just have to figure it out as I go.

As for some quick introductions, my name is Melody! My parents are from Paldea, but I've lived in Alola my whole life. Like I said, I've been babysitting Pokémon for about five months now. My roommate, thankfully, covers the cost of everything so I can pursue this passion. I have two Pokémon of my own, a Munna named Ay and an Aromatisse named Buenoler! Buenoler usually helps with taking care of rowdy Pokémon who need enrichment in battles, while Ay helps to show new Pokémon that the house is a nice, cozy atmosphere.

On top of posting about fun moments I'd like to share, I'm also opening the offer for anyone who needs their Pokémon taken care of! If you're busy and you have a Pokémon that you need to have taken care of for a little while, send me an ask or a DM telling me what they're like! I'll keep 'em for a few days (however many you need), and I'll let you know they did when I send them back! I can do PC trading if you don't live in Alola!

I've been a fan of Rotomblr for a while now, so I figured I should make my own ask blog. I don't have much to introduce myself with so uh, whoops! Anyways, a little clarification on how the whole "Sending in Pokémon to babysit" thing works. Send this blog an ask or a DM describing the Pokémon (Name, species, personality, and any other possible info about it) and I'll respond after a little bit talking about how it interacted with the rest of the Pokémon currently being babysat in a post. This will usually be stuff like "Drampa caused a bit of a ruckus trying to protect Phantump from the Gumshoos it was playing with, but she apologized and made up with everyone" or "Shuppet bit my ass." My only restrictions are PLEASE NO LEGENDARY, MYTICAL, OR HISUIAN POKÉMON. I'm not ready for Melody to deal with the lore implications of taking Rayquaza for a walk.

Hi! Thank you for the warm welcome! It depends on what you mean. If you mean my favorite pokemon on an individual level, I'd have to say Buenoler, my Aromatisse. I got her in my late teens so I've been with her for quite some time. While I can usually handle whatever rowdy pokemon I get sent, sometimes the occasional incineroar or tyranitar sent in for the day, and there is NO way I'm going to try to fist fight one of those guys. In situations like that, Buenoler does a great job keeping them entertained in battles outside, even wearing them out for nap time in some situations! Honestly, without her, I'd probably have to ban a large amount of pokemon. If you mean my favorite pokemon species, it's certainly changed over the years. I've always had a soft spot for Psychic and Dragon types, but I think it would be a weird one called a "cosmog." I've never actually seen one before, but I've seen a few pictures of them! I heard they where from another world? I dunno, I probably found that on Electibuzzfeed at like 4 in the morning. Anyways, I think they're really neat! Maybe I'll meet one in the future but eh, I'm perfectly happy with the constant flow of new pokemon from the pokesitting job!

I can't say I've ever had a conversation with a Tropius before, so this is certainly a new experience. As for my favorite thing about humans... I'd say probably how we try everything? Like, ok, at some point there had to be someone who tamed the first Pokemon, right? And then someone had to make the first Pokeball. All of that is because humans tried new things! So I guess my final answer is our ability to try new things and make 'em work!

Angriest I've ever been... There's a handful of personal incidents I'm obviously gonna leave out, but besides that, I'd say my first relationship? It was a whole situation, three years of mutually assured destruction, the whole nine yards. On one hand, we both kinda perpetuated the issues, and I hope she finds someone better, but on the other hand, I have two awesome girlfriends, so suck it Rimsha!

As for my fashion style, I think its mostly practical stuff. When you spend all day taking care of Pokémon with sharp claws you start to ease off of the expensive clothes! Though if we're talking nice events and stuff, I love doing jackets on top of other things! If I had a picture I'd post it but for my senior prom I had a nice blue dress and threw a light blue jacket over it and it looked great! I guess most of my wardrobe consists of blue now that I think about it. Does that count? Hopefully that counts.

Kingambit! There's one that lives in the woods near my hometown, and I like to hike and visit him once in a while. I give berries to the Pawniard and Bisharp there, and the Kingambit lets me hang out!

I have more than a few scars on my hands and arms from the Pawniard and Bisharp cutting me on accident or because they do not recognize me, but I could never be mad at them.

Alolan Sandshrew! I love the little dudes, they're so cute! I actually went on a camping trip to Mount Lanakila with my roommate about a year back for some "trainer shit" as they put it, and they ended up befriending & capturing one of the alolan sandshrews there. I don't know exactly what happened, but I got back to the tent after taking a quick walk, and there was just a sandshrew there. I asked them what happened, and they just responded with "Trainer shit" before feeding the lil dude some stew I made for us.

Anyways, we named him Frilo, and he's been part of my roommates team for a few years now! Well, one of their teams, but that's besides the point. Tangent over, I just had to mention that Frilo is a very smart and good boy who helps me cook stew sometimes, and Alolan Sandshrew/Sandslash's are my favorite steel types.
