i wonder how many more systems like me there are. i was thinking about how ive definitely told people about events happening to me that would have been impossible, but how it was never a lie and i sincerely believed those things happened still. its an early example of how i have very vivid source memories that i do believe in the reality of, but being denied or told that i was lying for attention or attempting to manipulate others made me feel confused and unable to properly explore that. and often i ended up doubting my perception of reality entirely, which made me very susceptible to abuse. i wish more people would understand that trying to combat someones lived reality, regardless of how much you think its "valid" or "healthy", is only going to make the matter worse and people ultimately are entitled to believe in what they do. people tried to tell me when i figured out that it was source memories that i was simply delusional and must be fixed by the system, my ex asked reddit about my DID to be validated on her perspective for gods sake lol, but i think its kinda bullshit. why is it that people are allowed to adopt entire cultures around their religious practices and belief in a higher power, but people reject when i make my own belief of reincarnation and multiverses. i do this to not freak out about it all, you know? i do this to cope with a reality that i will never be rid of, because i absolutely did spend all of those years trying to remove it from myself entirely, making it worse on myself, and constantly feeling like a failure. all while people are telling me to get therapy while i was a minor and it was outside of my control because my parents were avoidant of doing anything for me, and it isnt even something that id like to do. i should be able to have that choice regardless of peoples opinions, i should be able to have that choice without being vilified for it. i wanted to strengthen my own ability for coping with my chosen loved ones not an impersonal stranger.

#txt #i am vehemently antipsych and want nothing to do with the industry and it has never done any good for me #or anyone in my family #it is something that reflects bias as there is no basis to any diagnosis besides the bias of who is diagnosing you #these labels and these disorders are not real in the sense that they are Just responses anyone could have to trauma #there is a reason you will end up thinking you have everything sometimes when looking into mental health for yourself if you self diagnose #because functionally they are all the same #their spectrums catch all the same symptoms with slightly different manifestations that can happen in the same disorders regardless anyways #bpd evolved off female hysteria npd is diagnosed to people who are perceived as self absorbed and dealing with ocd symptoms #ocd is rewarded to people deemed obsessive in a negative light hpd Well whoever is diagnosing you is definitely misogynyistic #im just saying #all of it is based in bias and statistically your guess is as good as the systems #i understand it helps some survive but the people who need it the most cant access it in the first place #and therapy largely wouldnt exist the same way if it wasnt a system reliant on restricting your information on mental health so it can #feed it back to you through expensive psychiatric processes #not to mention the fact that for a LOT. of people. assigning a label to this experience has made people view themselves clinically #and not with humanity. you should be describing your experience not saying what you have #you should be getting to the root causes and connections to your reactions and how your experiences shaped these responses not just saying #what you have. because we are not ill and we are not disordered #we are responding to a system that abuses everyone in some way and the people who are deemed the most ill and disordered are people #who are oppressed actively by society. schizophrenia as a label for ex is rooted in misogynoir #black women are most commonly diagnosed with schizophrenia as a means of telling them their experiences and words are deluded l #and being distrusted and misbelieved time and time again worsens the states of psychosis people are put through #so what once was not delusion becomes word salad and disconnected memories and ideas the more you question yourself #im juuuuuust saying. it helps more to describe your experience #and i understand. i do. but i just personally dont like people who uphold these labels in any serious way at all. i dont want to be friends #with people who are going to describe their experiences to me through vague labels that could frankly mean anything #i dont know how to care for you based on that! do you know how vast this spectrum actually is?#or do you also believe in these stereotypes of behavior?#i dont care for peoples faux leftism on these subjects. a lot of you are actually following along with liberalism and liberterianism
