Note: If you notice that Kai Azer is not on the list don't make it such a big deal. So many people love Kai Azer and I'm just not one of them. I won't go into detail about it just please don't type things like "Where's Kaiš„ŗ" You have eyes: He isn't there he's somewhere else. I respect other peoples opinions, but just know that if you're a die-hard Powerless fan and you see some of my posts ignore them and scroll past.

Note: The Top stands for my most favorites, the Middle stands for my close-but-not-close-enough favorites, and the Low are the ships I love but wouldn't die for.

Anyways, that's about it! Thank you for reading my little intro Post!
I have a feeling that when I finish Six of Crows I'm gonna go into a reading slump. This has to be the one of the best books I've read in 2025 (besides caraval and ouabh)
We were reading The Hunger Games in class and when we got to the part where Peeta says, "You here to finish me, sweetheart?" I had to keep in my squeals but no one else so much as BLINKED.
The saying "don't judge a book by it's cover" is so stupid because I'm not going to go in public with a book with some shirtless dude on it or some lame ass cover. The cover needs to be pretty so I can be proud of it.
People hating on Evapollo now want to read Jacks with that fox????? It wasnāt even his love, like it was stated that it wasnāt love from jacks side but if this bonus now makes it look like itās a love story I really donāt get it⦠like the more we scream Evajacks the more such heartbreaking things come. Then letās also have a book with Evangelineās background, her story with Luc and her parents⦠what is thisā¦
Wait-what?
Are you talking about the new Evajcks novella? Because I genuinely think that it's going to be about Evajacks on like Valentine's day. (I'm so excited!!)
But if you're not then I completely agree with you. Like I don't care about Eva's past with Luc but I guess I am curious as to how her parents found her. She was a "key" and her parents kept talking about how a swan carried her to them or something...? That makes no senseš
And yeah if there is a story about Jacks and the Fox I will cry. Yeah, their story was tragic but now Eva's in the picture and Jacks is happy. The Fox is long forgotten by now. I only want a scene with Eva and Jacks being them and giggling and shi.
Y do U hate Kai azer smšš like he's actually the best book bf?? like I will throw hands if u don't answer this>>>>>>> but in all seriousness do u like the powerless trilogy or do u hate it
Ok so we can agree to disagree. Threatening to "throw hands" if I ignore this is actually kind of pointless because you have no idea where I live but okay... But since I actually really want to answer this question because I think I will make a lot of great points I will.
Kai:
He has no depth. No personality. He has daddy issues and is forced to kill people - so what? It's giving Aaron Warner from Shatter Me. Lauren Roberts could have made it so he had potential but no she just had to focus on giving him dialogue that sounded like poetry. His character was forced and shallow. I felt no pity towards him whatsoever. And the thing that is kind of sad is how he is rated one of BookTok's top book boyfriends.
People hate Taryn from The Cruel Prince because she basically betrayed Jude for Locke but Kai did the exact same thing to Kitt for Paedyn. His personality just revolves around two things: His obsession with Paedyn and his daddy issues.
My thoughts on the Powerless Trilogy:
So I actually used to love this series before I read Red Queen. The amount of similarities between the two series is actually insane and even though some people might defend Powerless by saying things like: Lauren was only eighteen! or She used inspiration! I just want to point out that she did not take inspiration she took actual scenes and plots.
Powerless was literally just a version of Red Queen but with different names for characters and different twists here and there. The series is only popular because is was copied from great - and I cannot stress this enough - original books.
Paedyn:
So she's supposed to be ordinary, right? No powers, no money, no home. But from the way her she flashes her SiLvEr GlEaMiNg HaIr AnD ShInY bLuE oRbS I think she honestly might be a witchš
Ok but in all seriousness she survived most of her life on the streets and can take care of herself but when Kai shows up she's suddenly defenseless and needs his help? Lauren tried convincing us that Paedyn was a strong female lead but in reality she's just a 5'4 girl who married her half brother and can't take care of herself when her "morally gray" man shows up.
Like are we forgetting that he's cruel and tore off the wings of a courtier who was too slow to bow to him? What about that says male wife?
Sure he's more laid back than all of the other book boyfriends and let's Jude do her thing but he's not sweet and feminine as some of the fanart portrays him to be. He can be cruel and ruthless when he wants to be.
