‘Do not go gentle into that good night, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.’
~ dylan thomas
when you think you have nothing left, you still have the moon, sunsets, your favorite music, paper to write on, warm clothes, new starts and your cute self
I’m always fascinated by society’s obsession with tragedy.
aziraphale and crowley: season two <3
What is more romantic but realistic: “I love you because of your flaws,” or “I love you even with your flaws”?
The way I see it, I would love to be loved because of my flaws, but at the same time, my flaws are what I don’t love about myself, and personally I wouldn’t want someone to love my flaws since they could encourage them (of course, that’s my personal opinion).
On the other hand, the second quote seems more realistic. Yes I love you, I don’t care if you have flaws, I’ll love you no less. They are accepting my flaws, but at the same time they see the flaws as what they are: flaws that I don’t want.
The first quote is very fantastical, while the second is realistic and accepting.
What do you think?
[ bloody face, messed up hair, bright smile ]
“okay, just say you want a kiss”
hey (with the intention of walking hand in hand to the art museum and daydreaming about the paintings’ lives)
"I think about it quite a bit, actually, that look on his face. I think about a lot of things. I think about the first time I ever saw a birch tree; about the last time I saw Julian; about the first sentence I ever learned in Greek. χαλεπὰ τὰ καλά... Beauty is harsh..."

‘eurypyle’ - john william godward (1920)
eurypyle is known as one of the 49 (out of 50) daughters of king thespius that was impregnated by herecles in greek mythology - this painting is most likely a depiction of her, hence the name of the piece.

homophobes are not allowed to use computers because the inventor of the computer was gay
People think this is just a joke but Alan Turing was the inventor of the computer and his sexuality was illegal in his time (which was not even 100 years ago) and he was arrested. They put him on drugs that destroyed his genius brain and committed suicide a year after being covicted. He was gay and a war hero as well. He helped to break enigma which was a German code that they put all their messages through. He shorted WWII by two years and saved so many lives in the process.
Friendly reminder that if not for Alan Turing you wouldn’t be reading this post and we might be ruled by the nazis
