I love and will post stuff on here about pro wrasslin, Star Trek, horror, hockey, music, my Husband, and most nerdy things you can think of. I liveblog random things I like and I'll tag these posts with lb. Posts related to my personal life will have the tag digital diary and (depending on length) reflection.

I have been in a total power exchange relationship for several years now, and I will mention this occasionally in a very non-explicit, safe for timeline way. In my late 20s but have worked exclusively with people 80+ for the past decade so I consider myself an honorary senior citizen and my back and knees agree. I know lots of Spanish (not my first language, but first language of my parents and all generations of my family before mine) and some German. Feel free to interact in either, I love getting a chance to practice.

I’m a licensed mental health professional and community advocate focusing on the promotion of housing-first programs and policies. Love me some psychology.

I took 4 of my brothers (including two of my younger ones, who are now legal adults which makes them even bigger menaces) and two of my sister in laws to their first wrestling show which means that I was distracted with coordination and only had time to take Very Few pictures of Very Important things.

Today I went to go visit my best friend, who as my long-standing mutuals may know, is in her 90s.

And every time I go to see her, there’s a pit in my stomach because, once again, she’s in her 90s, and I’m the only one who knows where she keeps the little hidden key to her front door and I’m afraid that one day I’ll be the one to use it. To find her.

But then I remember my friend B from high school.

And we all came from little rural podunk villages that funneled into one school for high school with graduating classes of 20, that still somehow maintained cliques and the “my little cow town is superior to your little cow town because WE have a post office” mentality.

And my best friend D and I were NOT having that, so on the first day of freshman year, we approached the first person we saw (B) from the smallest little village (blink driving past on the highway and you miss it) and told him “We’re starting a band called “Two Bitches, one Hoe, we’re the bitches, you’re the hoe.” And a friendship was cemented.

And by the time we were seniors, we had drifted apart, but amicably so, yet still, when I had a full psychotic decompensation (that happened in welding class, that day TIG stood for “today I goofed”) and everyone, even the teacher left, B stayed with me until the ambulance and the stretcher and the syringes arrived.

And a month later he was gone. And his memorial page was next to my photo in the yearbook. And when I look at it, I think that maybe having a nonagenarian best friend isn’t taking such a big chance, after all.

Me, shocked, when my chronic, disabling medical conditions have the gall to actually impact my daily functioning

For context, this is from a now completed study I was a lab assistant on when I worked for a psychedelic and cannabis research lab in undergrad. This portion was asking people to assign what emotion the participant felt the individual in the picture was displaying, with (if I remember correctly) the only two options being joy and anger lmao

In our pod, the rule is proxies are allowed but you have to hand draw them. She’s beautiful. (The belt goes to the winner. We have a very detailed set of rules related to its transfer and a written lineage of past champions).

This is my first year making a fantasy hockey team strategically instead of just creating a dream team of all my favorite players + a smattering of players I wish would smooch each other. I consistently finish the season middle of the pack, so if I’m not at least runner-up this year, I’m gonna go back to the other method of drafting because it was much more fun and it’s not worth it to lose that fun if the return on investment isn’t there lol. Unfortunately, I demolished my opponent for the first week, so strategy might be the way to go.

I took my oldest little brother to his first ever hockey game yesterday, had the privilege of introducing him to my favorite part of hockey (pre-game goalie warmups), got to terribly skate with him afterwards, and he enjoyed it so much that he woke up early today to watch the game. One of many proud big sister moments my siblings have gifted me.

As an aside. Wide open net there. Bad whiff. Oof.
