Hi everyone! I know it's been a while, I just wanted to give you a quick update! I'm not sure if I'm back to posting regularly though, since life is still pretty chaotic.

My beloved Havel has been sadly - among other problems - drowning in pink soup and I haven't had the energy to start cleaning out the downloads folder and fixing the hood to make it playable again. So there will be no updates for the foreseeable future.

In the meantime I have been playing some sims 3, other games and some plain old ts2. Right now I'm setting up a rotational playthrough of Riverblossom Hills and working on a short story about the Roth family. I'm also doing cc-free makeovers of ts2 houses, so there will be a few posts about that. ~ Mina

Natural Pet Relief Patches

Inspired by the work @jacky93sims had done already with making their "unlimited potty pads" for cats and dogs, I took the code a little further and also put it into a style that would fit my games better.

Instead of needing two different objects for cats and dogs, now both can use this one object, and it remains unlimited uses and no need to clean. They can be found in Misc > Pet for $0, and are quarter tile enabled and compressed.

Seasonal & Non-Seasonal types SHARE A GUID, so you must pick ONLY ONE depending on how you'd like it to function.

I've come up with 6 styles: Grass Patch (+ seasonal variant), Leaf Pile (+ seasonal variant), Straw Pile, Cornflower Patch, Anemone Flower Patch, and Shallow Hole. Each come with some built in recolors.

Additional credits in the zip for those I've used textures/meshes from. Thank you all

Fixed Food Bins

Although I spend most of my time building, whenever I do play I love to run a wee shop. An unfortunate feature of many custom food bins is their propensity to revert back to the original maxis colour when you buy something from them, or the texture is in some other way not right. It's bugged me for years. I recently had an idea as to what might be wrong and managed to fix these Rustic Food Bins made by Raynuss.

I've included his original colours. You'll notice the meshes cut into the wall there but I'm not quite proficient enough again with meshing to attempt moving them, and it doesn't bother me too much. They're in large appliances, residential and community. Find them here

Bunch of edits and clothing recolor

riekus13's recolors of Cassandre's White-Living Curtains visible from both sides

I made a simple TXTM edit of riekus13's recolors of Cassandre's White-Living Curtains to make the mesh be rendered from both sides.

I changed filenames. Replace riekus13's recolors with my edit. Mesh remains unchanged, but it is included.

Taroo's/Tarox' medieval sink split into two recolorable subsets

I also edited Taroo's/Tarox' medieval sink mesh to split it into two recolorable subsets: sink (bowl) and table (table and jug).

As any existing recolors will only work for the bowl part, I edited @eulaliasims' beautiful recolors to be enabled for both subsets.

I changed filenames. Replace taroo's mesh and @eulaliasims' recolors with my edit.

Taroo's/Tarox' medieval candle lamp

Next, I have edited Taroo's/Tarox' hanging lamp to swap bulbs for actual fire on candles. I replaced candle texture too, because it looked too plastic for me. Now candles have white-yellowish color.

Furthermore, I have made two recolors of candles: white and yellow:

That's not all! I also made a "BV" version of my edit. It uses "lightingceilingantlermountain_light", which has warmer, more candlelike light. For reference see pictures in this tutorial. This version requires BV. Choose one version!

I changed filenames. Replace taroo's mesh with my edit.

Alienara's MaraFaerie's skirt for children, teens and elders

I took @alienara-simblr's beautiful recolor of my conversion of TS3 Rose Bottom and slapped it on teen mesh, kids mesh and elder mesh.

Recolors are texture-referenced to @alienara-simblr's recolor, so be sure to download it!

13 Objects Information under the cut! (and static previews)

Thought I'd share some decorative houses that I converted from SketchFab! Since they weren't made with Sims in mind, there will be small issues here and there, so please read below!

Houses D, E, F have texture issues with the windows that I just couldn't fix. I'm still sharing them since these would most likely be background objects and won't be such an issue. I tried to lower poly counts as much as I could but some are still rather high, so just be cautious if that worries you! Small transparency here and there from lowering the poly counts.

Hanging Herb Fridges

Just another little things that my brain wanted to give a little variety to my sim kitchens so that no everyone has hanging meats. How about some hanging veggies? In this case, herbs specifically.

I used Lady Lama's Hanging Herbs from her Druid Set for the mesh and texture, just sized it down and doubled it up so it took up space a little nicer in the smaller state. Then threw some recolors in.

It comes in two versions - Standard Maxis and Empty. The Empty is repo'd to the standard version. Then an additional 4 recolors; original saturated, all green, slight whimsy, and full on rainbow.

Hello everyone, to celebrate Halloweekend, we just released some new sets with silky smooth gameplay. To improve on this even more and to allow you to immediately integrate it in your pre-existing Sims supply chain, we updated Flowing Fabrics; now with extra Silk!

Medieval "Don't Wake The Llama" Default

Hi friends! I made another thing for my medieval game!

I'm always looking for more fun things for my medieval sims to do and I thought that sitting around a table stacking up piles of sticks sounded about right 😂 So I made a medieval friendly default replacement of the Dont Wake the Llama game. This default renames the game to "Sticks and Stones" (thanks to @niamh-sims for that suggestion 😊) and replaces the coloured sticks with actual twiggy looking sticks, the llama with some rocks, and the table with the 9 Archer's Meadhall table. The table mesh is the exact same as the 9AM 1x1 table, and is therefore Repo'd to it. I used Blue Heaven Sims's "Redeemed Set" because I love all the addons and recolours. You MUST have the 1x1 Master table from that link for the table textures to show up, plus you get some lovely recolours!

Now this was made slightly more complicated by the fact that the original CEP included making "Don't Wake the Llama" recolourable. Therefore, to use my default, you must replace your core CEP files with my edited ones. I promise, I have done nothing apart from remove the 2 lines relating to this table. Your CEP will still work! 💗

Decrease the strength of terrain paint application (in TS2)

If you are like me, you almost certainly never play around with terrain paint. It's not that I don't like to, but the application always felt too strong for me to do anything that doesn't look extreme with it.

So, the other day I was going around looking at the game's directory, and stumbled across these two values in the "Terrain.ini" file:

This file is located in: LATEST EP/TSData/Sys *The exact location depends on where you installed the game, which edition you are currently using and which is the latest EP you got installed.

This might just be common knowledge, but I personally never saw anything related to it, so I'm sharing in case it interests others.

It's fairly self-explanatory: if you change the "PaintBrushStrength" value to something between 0 and 1 (I imagine higher values are accepted but probably useless), the strength of the paint application decreases accordingly.

I've personally put the value at 0.1 – but you might find that too slow of an application. I also feel like this increases how much money is spent to paint the terrain, since weaker application = holding the mouse button longer = more money spent.

I tried to play around with the "PaintBrushApplicationInterval", increasing it to like 6000 (= 1min), but noticed no difference, so I left the default value as is.

Important note: Remember to backup the file! Alternatively, you can add a comment to any change you've made that reminds you what the default value was (I haven't changed anything else).

Riverblossom hills needed more activities so I built an old schoolhouse which got repurposed and now houses a small community library and a classroom for arts & crafts classes.
