Myrtle Beach, South Carolina has been a hot spot for UFOs for several decades now. Just in the last couple of years, almost a dozen reports have been collected. Some of the cases are: a cylindrical object that seemed to drip lava from its center back in 2013, several hovering lights spotted over the beach over the course of 2017, and a few instances of triangular formations of light in 2016. An interesting fact about these reports is how consistent they; almost every year almost a dozen eye witnesses claim to see UFOs, corroborated with video evidence. It’s speculated that due to the high frequency of tourists in the area, it’s not the fact that more UFOs necessarily visit Myrtle Beach, but rather that the sheer number of people there make eye witness reports more forthcoming. However, it’s also important to note that many reports actually come from people that live in the area. There is also the fact that many of these may as well be a case of mistaken identity, as plane lights and even objects like Chinese lantern lights can trick people into believing that these are otherworldly objects. MUFON has done several investigations into the accounts, and while nothing conclusive has come out of, most of these accounts have been labeled as ‘Unknown.’
MUFON.
I don't trust them, anymore, at ALL.
The photos above?
Have seen many similar photos, as well as still shots from a video as well. All were taken over a period of weeks by a photographer friend who was too nervous to contact MUFON, himself; I wanted to know what they'd say. 🙄 So he let me. He'd better have, given that I was with him twice when he saw these things!
You know what MUFON said they all were?
"Airplanes."
Odd, I thought, how those airplanes could hover in place, move sharply east, west, north, south, or simply remain stationary. Amazing how they'd suddenly move across the sky far faster than a B-2 or F-16. The changes in elevation were fascinating, as well. That's how close the thing was one day. Completely silent even when overhead (quite literally, as it was directly above the parking lot where we were standing for twenty minutes).
I'd really like to book my next flight on MUFON's "airplane"; it'd be a heck of a lot more interesting than flying while packed into the sardine-can-like atmosphere nearly universal on modern, commercial planes. It'd likely be a lot faster, too.
“TESLA’S RAY.”
Time, July 23rd, 1934.
“He has produced nothing tangible for a long time, but he still remains one of the foremost living inventors of electrical apparatus. His day comes once a year. On his birthday Manhattan newshawks seek him out in some hotel, listen closely to his words. Wearing an outmoded brown suit, he received the Press one day last week in a Hotel New Yorker reception room. That day Nikola Tesla was 78.
"The first thing Nikola Tesla invented was a hook for catching frogs. That was not long after he learned to talk, in the Croatian hamlet of Smiljan where he was born. He studied physics and mathematics at two universities, got into telegraph engineering, went to Budapest, to Paris, to the U. S. in 1884 to work for Thomas Edison. Soon he had a research laboratory of his own. Four years later he patented the induction motor, first effective utilization of alternating current. He discovered the rotary magnetic field principle used today in the hydroelectric plants at Niagara Falls. He invented dynamos, transformers, induction coils, condensers, arc and incandescent lamps. He was acclaimed a great genius.
"All that was long ago and Tesla has lingered on into a twilight of semi-obscurity. His hotel room is now his only laboratory, his brain his only tool. When callers importune him he takes a bath or goes to bed. When he talks about his work his deep-set blue eyes burn with an icy fire. He walks prodigious distances through the city streets. His most valued friends are the New York Public Library’s somnolent pigeons. A life-long bachelor, Dr. Tesla is tall, spare, erect, parchment-skinned, beak-nosed. The mustache he once wore is gone.
"Even at the peak of his renown he had great visions. In 1900 he was ready to cure tuberculosis with oscillating electricity. In 1909 he promised motors capable of driving ocean liners at 50 knots. In 1911 it was storm-proof dirigibles without propellers. In the last decade his annual utterances have been mostly rehashes of previous interviews, with something new every three or four years. In 1924 he was planning to transmit power by radio. In 1927 he was scheming to harness sea power. In 1931 he would make all fuels superfluous by tapping cosmic energy. Last week Dr. Tesla announced a combination of four inventions which would make war unthinkable.
"Nucleus of the idea is a death ray — a concentrated beam of sub-microscopic particles flying at velocities approaching that of light. The beam, according to Tesla, would drop an army in its tracks, bring down squadrons of airplanes 250 miles away. Inventor Tesla would discharge the ray by means of: 1) a device to nullify the impeding effect of the atmosphere on the particles; 2) a method for setting up a high potential; 3) a process for amplifying that potential to 50,000,000 volts; 4) creation of “a tremendous electrical repelling force.” Two of these are complete in Dr. Tesla’s mind. The other two await minor details.
"Dr. Tesla pointed out that the weapon is purely one of defense, since his beam must be generated in great immovable power plants. With generators set up on all the world’s national boundaries, no country would ever again be able to attack another. Further details, said Dr. Tesla, would be unfolded before the Geneva Disarmament Conference.
"The death ray, always exciting to laymen, is an old familiar to scientists. After the interplanetary “space ship,” it is probably the most popular gadget in pseudoscientific fiction. Even in Herbert George Wells’s shrewdly written War of the Worlds (1898), the first act of arriving Martians is to spray spectators with a death beam. In real life death rays have been announced time & again, but never convincingly demonstrated. When one Harry Grinnell-Matthews loudly announced a death ray some years ago in England, Physicist Robert Williams Wood of Johns Hopkins said he would stand 65 ft. from the apparatus and invite Mr. Grinnell-Matthews to turn on his radiations full blast. Last month in Omaha the Inventors’ Congress was informed by its President Albert G. Burns that he had witnessed a death ray demonstration staged by a Clevelander named Antonio Longoria. Rabbits, dogs and cats, said President Burns, were killed instantly, their blood turned to water. But Inventor Longoria said he would withhold his secret until invasion threatened the U. S.
"Excellent is Dr. Tesla’s health, but he looks now & then beyond the grave. When he is reminded that in some quarters his pronouncements are written off as senile hallucinations. he replies with simple dignity: “The opinion of the world does not affect me. I have placed as the real values in my life what follows when I am dead.”
Never getting any degree at all doesn't define who you are or aren't.
Never getting married is equally as whole and beautiful a thing as getting married.
Not having a family is equally as dignified and respectable as having one.
Never buying a house once in your entire life indicates nothing about who you are or what kind of person you are.
You don't need a degree, a spouse, a family, or a home to be kind or wise or caring or honest or compassionate.
Don't let others dictate who you are by what you have; show others who you are in word and action. A single person without children, without a home at all, has the same intrinsic worth and value as a married parent-of-five living in a mansion. Respect the diversity around you, and open your mind; societal goals need not dictate your own.

You Know How...
Warnings come out every year about how many dogs will be lost, running from the sound of fireworks?
How many dogs are terrified of thunderstorms?
What a privilege it is to have a dog in one's life who runs to you the moment he hears thunder, so happily excited that he impatiently bounces between you and the window -- or out the door -- so you'll be there in time to watch the lightning flash as the rain drenches all in its path. He will watch alone -- but he prefers to watch together, his head turning in time with the flashes of static high above, his brown eyes shining as they catch each new atmospheric luminary to a soundtrack that shakes the ground. He doesn't understand why he cannot simply stand in the storm, gazing at the sky; he never will. He is a dog, but a dog who appreciates great beauty.

On Worshiping Destructive Entities: The Difference Between Chaos and Uncreation
Recently there’s been a huge surge in popularity re worshiping a particular entity from Ancient Kemetic belief, a snake named A/p/e/p/. People in favor of this cry about how it is so misunderstood and ~misguided~ or that it’s merely another deity of chaos. This reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of what chaos is and its role in nature and a fundamental misunderstanding of this entity for it is NOT chaos, it is uncreation. As someone who worships the jotnar, who are forces of chaos, and in particular worships worldbreakers who will destroy the gods and a good chunk of the known cosmos at Ragnarok, I’d like to make this distinction clear: chaos breeds possibility whereas uncreation does the literal opposite and therefore A/p/e/p/ is the literal opposite of chaos.
Chaos can be defined as that which is outside of society, that which is not controllable by gods or men. While problematic, Mircea Eliade gives a great explanation of chaos which is applicable not only to the jotnar I worship but /also/ to the Kemetic god of chaos Sutekh:
One of the outstanding characteristics of traditional societies is the opposition that they assume between their inhabited territory and the unknown and indeterminate space that surrounds it. The former is the world (more precisely, our world), the cosmos; everything outside it is no longer a cosmos but a sort of “other world,” a foreign, chaotic space, peopled by ghosts, demons, “foreigners (who are assimilated to demons and the souls of the dead). At first sight this cleavage in space appears to be due to the opposition between an inhabited and organized-hence cosmicized ”-territory and the unknown space that extends beyond its frontiers; on one side there is a cosmos, on the other a chaos.
(…)
An unknown, foreign, and unoccupied territory (which often means, “unoccupied by our people”) still shares in the fluid and larval modality of chaos. - ELiade, The Sacred and Profane 1957
I have bolded the end because Eliade completely nails what it means to be chaotic: fluid and larval. (Modality simply means an expression of a form, so a larval state.) Fluid here is the opposite of solid and locked in. It defies concrete definition and is evershifting and adapting. Larval is that which has potential. It can grow and Become. The jotnar are beings that are often unknown and terrifying in their unknowability. This is reflected in that these jotnar, called thursr or trolls, in some instances can be killed by naming them. Identifying the unknown, locking it in place, is the bane of chaos. It is taking away its potential to mutate and adapt constantly. This is why trolls become stone when exposed to the light: light reveals their nature, exposing them, and freezes the chaos forever into a static existence.
This is actually something that bothers me when people call the s/n/a/k/e/ entropy because in its basic form, entropy is about how many potential states or configurations a system can have. Entropy at its basest nature is about possibility. And A/p/e/p/ again, takes away entropy and possibility. It is uncreation which means it removes things from existence. period, the end. There is no ifs ands or buts. it is gone. If it is gone it is no longer in a system, no longer capable of any mode or configuration. All potential, all possibility are gone. Zilch. Nada. When you ask for chaos you ask for things to be constantly moving, for change, for upheaval. Zero, nonexistence isn’t change. It is prevention of all changes.
I could ramble about the fact that the jotnar as chaos beings are largely forces of wilderness and nature, that as worldbreakers they serve necessary change in helping to renew the world, that hope only exists because it flows from the Allfather’s Slayer’s jaws, etc. But all this ignores the one fundamental point people miss when discussing A/p/e/p/ as a potential figure for worship: it is not chaotic. It has never been chaotic and it never can be for its very existence is to delete existence. Not transform it. Not mutate it. But to remove it.
Chaos is the power and possibility to transform the world. Even Surtr’s flames leave potential. You cannot transform or have possibility in the wake of an entity that seeks to delete everything, especially possibility. Why do you think Sutekh, chaos, is the mightiest slayer of the s/n/a/k/e/?
"Why do you think Sutekh, chaos, is the mightiest slayer of the ///::?"
...in chaos is creation and in creation there is hope. In hope there is life, and ultimately, Sutekh seeks the continued existence of both life and hope; without them, what chaos could exist?
He must slay that which would un-create if he himself desires his own existence.
It's a lot like The Lion King, basically, only set in the hotel from The Shining, combined with "S**kes on a Plane", played on an unending loop for eternity.
