Merida pursed her lips at Jamie’s question, not really paying attention to architecture when she flew overhead. “Ah’aven’t got t’e slightest clue.” She shrugged, smiling sheepishly. She leaned in closer to him, trying to see the other side of the start of the bridge, “But ye’ could ave it suspended over ah moat. Ah always wanted’ah moat.” 

She laughed lightly at herself, before looked back up at Jamie from her more crouched posotion. “Ye’ know, ye’ave a really nice smile.” She told him. “It makes other people want te’ smile.” 

She looked back over at Sophie, though she didn’t move any farther away from Jamie. “It’s ah lot lak your’s, Sophie. Your family must give great family pictures.” She smiled, pulling her wild hair to one side of her neck.

Emerald eyes flared with jealously toward her brother, before she averted her gaze, keeping her eyes pointed downward. She couldn’t understand why people always drifted toward Jamie like moths to a flame. He wasn’t that great. Without notice to the blonde, she accidentally patted the sane down too hard, causing a dent in the foundation. Sighing softly, she attempted to fix it.

Jamie laughed suddenly, causing Sophie to snap her gaze back toward teh other two. She frowned immediately as she watched them. “My smile? Ha, thanks Merida.”Just as if he couldn’t help himself, he smiled once again. Though, she quickly straightened up once blue eyes found hers. She smiled shyly and blinked innocently at the other female. Though she faltered at the comment, not believing that Jamie and her smile were similar. Maybe they were, but it still didn’t help the jealous flame sparking up once more.

It was silent between the three before a vibration caused Jamie to jolt upright. He quickly dug into the bag at his side and pulled out his phone, inspecting the text he just received. “Oh, hate to ruin the fun we are having, but Soph, we have to leave.”He stated bluntly, staring at the blonde now. She gave him a curious stare, squinting her eyes at him.

"What for?"

"Mom wants to eat out tonight."He replied, tapping something on his phone and hiding it back inside the bag. She pursed her lips. "Well okay…"She mumbled reluctantly. Jamie stood up and placed his hands on his hips staring down at hte two females.

"Hey Merida,"Sophie spoke up, standing up as well, dusting away the stray sand on her. "Will I - we - be able to see you tomorrow as well?" She asked, correcting herself once she realized she almost included herself only. Hopeful, jade eyes stayed locked onto the red haired female, awaiting her answer.

Merida shrugged when Sophie didn't respond to her compliments. She had been hoping that it would have made her smile brighter. She didn't look like she was having much fun. She pursed her lips, looking down at her own lump of sand trying to figure out a way to have more fun. 

She was still thinking when she heard the vibration go off. She was surprised, looking over at Jamie with curious eyes as he fished around his bag for his mobile. She looked at it, never really being close enough to people to get a good look at them. 

When he told Sophie what the message he received said Merida tried to hide her disappointment. She looked towards Sophie when she asked the reasoning, then back at Jamie when he told her and stood up. 

Merida eyes turned back once more as Sophie asked her a question and a smile crossed her face. "O'course." She told her. "Ah'd lave te' see ye' again te'morrow." She nodded, her hair bouncing around. "We could meet up'ere te'morrow mornin'." She suggested.

Meri smirked. “Ah would fuck Jack, guardian o’Fun, is’e not? Ah would marry’Iccup, ‘Cause’e’d probably be’an annoyin’ drunk, an’ ah would get drunk wit’ Flynn, because’e probably know’ow te’old his liquor.” 

"Ah would’ave sex with Hiccup because ah couldn’t imagine Jack even being near me in that manor and Flynn is too old, but, ah would marry Flynn, so ah wouldn’t have to be with Jack the rest of my life, an’ then get drunk with Jack, because it would probably be an enjoyable night." Merida smiled.

Merida stared at both of them, wondering why they weren’t responding to them, when her eyes widened in realization. They probably couldn’t understand her. She sat in silence looking towards both of the siblings, wondering if she should repeat what she said slower. 

She was about to open her mouth when a light seemed to flicker on for Sophie and then a few moments later the same for Jamie. Looking back to each sibling once more she figured she should probably start talking slower.

She also wasn’t sure whether they really liked her idea or not. Frankly, if she could build anything for a castle, it would be a tower, like Rapunzel had lived in, but she didn’t want to leave out Sophie and Jamie’s idea’s, either.. 

She looked in between the two, so far, piles of sand, trying to decided who to help first. She scooted towards Jamie looking down at his bridge-to-be. “What kind of bridge is it goin’ teh be?” She asked, slower than she would usually talk, and in a clearer accent.

Sophie hadn’t even realized that Merida had moved. Nor had she realized that she moved toward her brother. It was only when the fiery red head spoke up that she realized Merida was paying attention to her brother. A spark of jealously shot through her body as she glanced up, tensing at them for a moment before directing her gaze downward.

She wouldn’t let it bother her.

Except it was bothering her. She was trying really hard to gain Merida’s attention. She really was. But it was hard for her extremely - actually she wasn’t even sure what her brother was. He just drew people in without even saying something. He didn’t have to say anything. All he had to do was smile like an idiot and suddenly have all the attention. 

Chewing on her lip, she started patting down the foundation of the sand castle, making sure it was secure enough to hold anything that would be put on top of it. Jamie had ignored Merida’s comment for a moment, crafting against the sand before he glanced toward her, smiling brightly - like, as Sophie would put it, an idiot. 

"I’m not sure yet, might just make random designs on it."He replied out, before shifting his gaze back to the bridge. "You have an idea?" He asked the red head.

Okay, okay, I really want to do one of these AU’s. 

The first one is Jarida, or not even Jarida, could just be a friendship AU. Basically, Jack and Merida go to the same high school, and they’re always fighting, and this weirdo comes along one day and handcuffs them together before running off with the key. So they spend an action packed night trying to chase this guy down through the big city and may or may not (up to you bro) fall in love. 

The second one is Mericup (this one is tight shipping must need). So Merida and Hiccup have lived across the street from each other their whole lives, and have never really gotten along, Hiccup thinking Merida was just some rebellious tomboy, and Merida thinking Hic was just some geeky nerd. But then their parents decided to go on vacation together, and so they spend the week getting to know each other and then may falling in love or something i dunno

Anyone AU, shipping or no. Now, this one I have a bit of a plotting problem, but basically, Merida is someone’s new flat mate for college or uni, whichever, and she’s not exactly a normal flat mate. Shooting the wall with arrows, or anything else she gets her hands on, when she’s bored, going out and coming back at all hours of the night, not really going to the university and just going to some classes occasionally, because her parents are just paying for it. (they rich, bro) (Think Sherlock Homes meets Tyler from Remember Me [without the dying cause that ain’t cool])

It’d be cool if a jack or hiccup, or anyone would do one of these with me, y’know..?
