After 15 years… I finally beat Ocarina of Time 3D

I'm tired of pretending to be okay. I'm tired of leaving politics out of the discussion when they directly involve me and the people I care about.

I'm afraid that I might get arrested for being openly queer, openly autistic, the like. I'm afraid of my fiancee getting arrested for having a gender marker on her ID that doesn't match their birth certificate.

I don't want to go to prison for existing, or worse, die for existing.

Anyway, speaking of color symbolism, sometimes gut instinct WILL see a red streak on a hospital floor and think someone died and their bloody body was dragged down the halls. And honestly, red can be associated with violence and anger just as much as it's associated with love. So I'm not gonna be all like "red is a good color for a children's hospital because it represents love".

Hot take: yes, media literacy is dead, but blaming it on a story being relatable to the audience isn't always THE be all end all problem.

The problem is that, being frank, nobody paid attention in English class and the whole "the curtains were just blue" argument is thrown around all willy-nilly. And look, I get it, being required to answer every question about every sentence in a book sucks, but you can't call yourself an analyst if you can't even answer questions like "why do you think the author specified the color of the curtains?" seriously.
