I genuinely hope that Québec French medias pick this up. Far too many issues that concern people of color, more specifically Black ppl, aren’t reported on as intensively as it is in English Canada and English media in Québec. Even some journalists here do not dare to apply race/racism on a matter due to repercussions and lack of support by their peers. It is a known issue among English speaking Black women who regularly consume American media. It isn’t much so known for non-English speakers. The language barrier has put too many people of color in danger. It has to stop!
