@michiwantscoffee
i want a game where you are mold. Like a cross between the vibes of like i dunno Flower and Katamari Damacy and Mr.Mosquito. Super PS2 core sorta game feel.
Just a variety of game maps of like the woods, or a kitchen, a bathroom, a basement, the produce aisle of a grocery store, a science lab, etc... And stuff flickers around in fast forward like a time lapse, such that your relative speed as growing mold feels like a casual stroll, but you've got a little HUD for like light levels, moisture and temperature, and sources of nutrients. So you have to play a kind of game of hot and cold to find your optimal growth path, and shit like humans or animals moving around at lightspeed around you can casually break up your mold colony, or even actively antagonize you depending on the setting, so you've got some incentive to spread in hard to reach or see places where, like, someone who comes to clean the fridge you're growing in won't notice you right away.
Also have most of it be really unassuming but then also just have a rare semi random chance for some maps to have just like a corpse. In the woods make it rare to have an animal die in your little clearing or something, but then also have an even rarer chance of just some hiker showing up and keeling over dead. Or of someone just mysterious showing up to bury a body in the woods in ffwd. Or in a musty old unfinished basement level just have a straight up horror film murder take place upstairs in like a shadow puppet show cast against the stairs into the basement and then the body disposed of in the basement for you to grow all over and consume.
Sorry, but I'm just trying to comprehend things here. Does being a proship means you normalize dark, taboo, incest etc. in fics?
no. proship literally just means anti censorship and anti harassment. proship does not necessarily mean liking every taboo ship. it does not necessarily mean normalizing any taboo ship.
you can be proship even if you hate every single ship that is taboo. as long as you don’t harass or shame real people over fiction, then by the definition, you are proship.
almost every person who is proship has something they dislike, hate, or even find disgusting. the point is not to normalize any of these taboo things. the point is literally to not shame, harass or censor people who enjoy the things they enjoy as long as it’s fiction and no one in real life is harmed.
so when someone who is proship finds a taboo ship they think is disgusting, they either scroll past, mute, or block the source. that’s all. they don’t harass or shame the person who enjoys it. they don’t try to normalize it. they just curate their own internet experience. scroll past, mute or block what they don’t want to see, mind their own business and let others enjoy whatever fictional things they enjoy.
do you have a hobby that's expensive as fuck

Googled something about quick hydration and it suggested big jug of water, couple tbsp pickle juice, dash of lime juice.
Its surprisingly tasty????
Pleased to report that after a day of this i am not longer craving caper brine and my mouth is not dry as usual. There's some good suggestions in the notes too that I want to try.

my biggest thing with disability advocacy is that we genuinely gotta be fucking nicer to people who BECOME disabled overtime physically. like it just happens or goes unnoticed for a long time because the healthcare system especially here in the USA is a nightmare.
anyone can become disabled. and I feel like advocacy forgets that and treats if like a horrific thing to avoid at all costs and not just something that happens along with needing to treat disabled ppl with respect, autonomy, and sometimes caretaking if they request it/need it.
saw this on twitter and wanted to save it here

THE LONG-AWAITED WEBSITE!!!!
It's not perfect- Strawpage's design tools are... not great- but I did my best to bring you all a Tumblr-free transcription of all my lessons. This is probably the most labor-intensive thing I've done for this page (next to the character polls). Four months of blood, sweat, and tears... and now, she LIVES!!!!
Some Notes:
I created it with the intent of Desktop use, so Mobile might have some issues. If it's not working on your phone, try desktop.
Out of the multiple browsers tested (Firefox, Google, Edge, Brave, Safari), Firefox had some issues sporadically.
I'm still going to post lessons on here, first. This page is priority to me, and the website is more of an archive.
The fonts are normal past this opening page.
I will be adding a portion to send funds soon, if'n you are feeling kind and generous.
Thank you all for your patience while I worked on this. It was a labor of love and I hope that it shows. 🙏🏾 Happy scrolling!
>Predominately Black led piece of media becomes popular.
>Among the characters there are one or two White characters with minor and/or distinctly antagonistic roles.
>White tumblr users focus entirely on said White characters.
>Tag of Black led piece of media is filled with posts about White character(s)
>Rinse. Repeat.
since i guess some people are picking thru my old posts again, I never realized Mayuri was one of those characters whose bits and pieces I never really consolidated, like i did some others...
I think this was the first time I mentioned his bankai [X] and just how it fits the broad trend of Kubo referencing Buddhist figures that Viz never really explained or translated very clearly.
Then there's his post in the series of kanji name things I did[X] and this is kind of hard for me read looking back on it now, but whatever it's more or less still holds up...
Oh a weird followup i forgot i even made[X] it's kind of nullified by...
...the time I realized his name is probabaly meant to be the Hindi name for the Peacock [X]
I translated his BBS Beyond Bankai form since the official English didn't [X]
Oh right and my sort weak attempt at picking at his speech patterns[X]
Then less about reading into anything sometimes I just point at stuff...
Collecting all his different face paint patterns[X]
The turtleshell pattern on his neck-cushion thing[X]
The musical inspiration behind him[X]
That time someone asked if he had lips[X]
The time I colorized all his databook pages for some reason...[X]
Some fun textography stuff around his bankai[X]
technically he shows up in the family tree thing i salvaged and updated[X]
Oh and he's in that series of height charts someplace[1][2][3][4][5][6]
And less directly related...
Just my random headcanon[X]
That time i ranted about Nemu's changing breast size[X]
I guess Nemu's technically part of these rants[X][X]
Misc. Akon stuff[1][2][3]
Other random R&D stuff[1][2]
This one's just the Gotei 13 in general[X]
weird I thought I'd done a post before about Nemu's weird barely existent zanpakutou and trying to compare it to Mayuri's... Not that there's anything conclusive... Kubo made the handwarp on it what seems like green? Maybe blue? But the digital colorist made it red and I somehow doubt they bothered to consult any one on it when they did.
I was kind of expecting hers to match his as if it was just a copy of what his sword looked like without all its modifications. But that doesn't seem to hold up. Mayuri's handwrap never is colored by Kubo himself until super late in the series --he made it peacock blue and the digital colorist changed it moving forward accordingly-- so the anime went with a kind of deep wine red/purple. But the new anime seems to have stuck with the purple.
(Kubo's own Mayuri cosplay used the purple though. Although I assume he paid someone to make all that and that they just used the first thing google gave them as reference)
i've been phasing the phrase 'google it' out of my vocabulary and going back to 'look it up'. fuck you youve lost your generic trademark privileges
Thank you, Black people in fandom spaces. Thank you, Black creators and Black lurkers. Thank you Black artists, Black writers. Thank you, Black bloggers, Black influencers. Shoutout to those Black characters, both canon and original. Thank you, Black people, both queer and cishet.
Your perspectives matter. Your representation matters. You are not bothersome for demanding equal treatment in fandom. It is not your responsibility to make fandom more welcoming and inclusive to you. It is not your sole responsibility to create all of the Black-centered content. You are not "ruining" anyone's fun for demanding better for yourself, and anyone who says otherwise can go fuck themselves. Any fandom worth being a part of should have no room for racism in it.
Black people in fandom, you are wanted. You are needed. You are loved and appreciated. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
And since they don't get told it near enough, thank you, Black women especially!!!
You are not "ruining" anyone's fun for demanding better for yourself, and anyone who says otherwise can go fuck themselves. Any fandom worth being a part of should have no room for racism in it.
Here is an article from NPR about it (May 22, 2026):
Carolina Milanesi, an independent technology analyst, said Google is trying to make its cash cow business — search — richer and more personalized, and it will make shopping easier. But there is a risk that users may have fewer choices about what to click. "Right now it's: I ask a question, I get a bunch of answers and I feel that I'm in control as to which answer I take, or if I'm looking for something, which product I'm going to end up buying. That is going to be less so going forward," she said. Milanesi envisions AI-enabled search and agents proposing products to consumers — perhaps even those they have requested — but with less clarity or choice around where it's coming from. "If you're going to say: 'I want a pair of Jordans, go find them,' you're not necessarily sure what steps have been taken and whether the AI has used a source or a store that was paid for and therefore came up in the search results," she said, "or if AI actually went and did their due diligence and picked the best for me as a customer."
And here's one from Time magazine (May 20, 2026):
While Google already has “AI Mode,” the company will now power the whole search bar through its new Gemini 3.5 Flash model. Instead of the classic list of blue links, Google Search will now also generate a custom page with an AI-generated summary of what you’re searching about, which will then trigger a conversation with AI Mode on the main page, allowing users to ask follow-up questions—similar to the kind of layout you would see when opening ChatGPT.
And a little more from Time's article on how this may affect the websites that we are trying to search for:
When Google first started implementing AI-assisted results, news publishers warned of “catastrophic” impacts on the industry, much of which relies on Google search to drive users to their websites. Last year, news websites saw significant traffic declines as chatbots increasingly replaced Google search as the primary way to find sites and ask questions. Small businesses also noted drops in traffic to their sites from Google, which has traditionally delivered customers. Lily Ray, vice president of SEO strategy & research at Amsive, a digital marketing agency, warned as early as last year that Google’s planned changes to search are “going to have a devastating impact on the Internet.” “It will severely cut into the main source of revenue for most publishers and it will disincentivize content creators who rely on organic search traffic, which is millions of websites, maybe more,” she told Technology Magazine.

Damn, that's useful
Imagine if we did the “public libraries are punk” thing for other subcultures. Imagine if people made shirts that said “Soup kitchens are grunge” or “Mixed Use Urbanism is Juggalo”.
