I actually really don't like peeing

The sensation of letdown is very uncomfortable and I have immense relief when it finally starts and an impatience for it to be over as quickly as possible so I don't have to feel that pressure in my urethra anymore

And I think I've felt this my entire life and could only just now put words to the experience because I've been having to go way more often while also forcing myself to not push and let it happen naturally which requires actually paying attention to the area. And I'm notorious for trying to ignore any sensations there

Had a thought that Grace technically never used reverse translation for Rocky, and Rocky understood him without a translator because he basically learned the language himself.

And you know all those jokes and headcanons about Rocky swearing every other word like any self-respecting engineer would, right? And Grace most likely did enter all those words into the translator, but replaced them with softer censored equivalents because he himself doesn’t really swear so the idea that someone might be talking to him in profanity every other sentence probably never even crossed his mind.

Now imagine this. They finally arrive to Erid. Grace desperately wants to make a good first impression, so he spends days hunched over his laptop, painstakingly assembling a greeting speech out of fragments from Rocky’s recordings.

And the resulting first contact speech sounds… bad. Like really bad. He turns the laptop toward the delegation looking unbelievably proud of himself. Presses play. And the computer proceeds to unleash a magnificent torrent of multilayered alien profanity stitched together from fragments of Rocky’s voice. Grace has absolutely no idea.

Rocky watched all of these preparations in silence the entire time, making those sly whistling noises that could absolutely be interpreted as laughter. Rocky's proud.

Meanwhile the Eridians are just thinking: "Yep. Okay. This leaky space blob really did spend years with our Rocky."

There's a weird kind of power in being multiple wheelchair users out together. It's normally such an isolating experience and a lot of day to day ableism hinges on that isolation and it's a lot easier to ignore access problems when theres only one person who can't participate, so when theres suddenly TWO of you they don't know how to react.

I just hung out with another wheelchair user for the second time ever and it was a deeply healing experience, there really is power in it. It also makes inaccessibility very obvious but it’s nice to have someone to bitch to that gets it at least. If you thought people stared at you as a single wheelchair user just wait till they see you start multiplying lol people will literally run into walls bc they were too busy staring at you two. My number one goal is to gather a group of wheelchair users then stampede across town doing gods know what like a pack of wild dogs.

I use a very strong powerchair and the friend I went out with uses a manual chair, we figured out he can lean forward and grab my armrest by the "elbows" to hitch a ride as long as the terrain is reasonably smooth. The effect is something between a chariot and those skaters who go bumper hitching behind cars.

We went to a music festival that involved bar and venue hopping to see different acts that were blocks apart, and I'm pretty sure we formed a Core Memory for more than one set of tiny kids and got a whole bunch of cheers from drunk people. It was so much fun, we hope to have even more friends out next year.
