As I turn down one of the many corridors in Diagon Ally, I hear the trill and crips of… Dragons?

“How odd,” I think to myself.

Thinking I must be going mad I follow the noise to investigate a bit. It’s damn near impossible to get a permit to sell dragons I hear.

I close my jacket a bit as a stiff breeze blows through. I see the woman running the stall, she looks slightly older than me, a big smile plastered on her face as she talks about sponsoring for the dragons.

That’s how she’s able to have her stall, she’s not selling them, she’s looking for sponsorships.

I wonder to myself what she needs the sponsors for, dragon fighting? Egg imports?

“This is Gumball,” she says brightly. “She’s a bit special as she’s disabled. She has cerebellar hypoplasia.”

I find it very interesting that she’s choosing to keep and take of the disabled ones, most would cull them out and try to remove any bad genetics.

As the woman continues to speak about the pros of sponsoring the young ones I watch as Gumball, on very wobbly legs, stands and walks a small circle around a dirty teddy bear before cuddling it close.

I watch as the other young dragons on the perch she has set up dance and trill in joy as she gives them pets and kisses.

I decided to walk up to her stall, pulling out a bag of dried chicken hearts I keep on my person for Elizabeth.

Showing the woman the bag and motioning my head to the dragons I inquire, “May I?”
