My crown cracked today, and I don't have dental insurance, because premiums went up and I had to switch to a different insurance that did not have dental.

So I just cried. I have a jagged crown in my mouth because everything is wildly expensive and I'm so stressed I've been grinding my teeth to the point that bitch cracked in half.

Dragons self domesticated a few centuries ago and you come home to find one of these scaly firespitters on your bed. But you don't own a dragon or atleast you didn't own one until now. Congratulations you have been selected by the dragon distribution system!

I have Opinions and I'm going to say them and I brook no argument.

Eloise is not insufferable.

She's not only interested in herself. She, like any other Bridgerton is privileged and somewhat self-involved. But we've seen her getting along with the other ladies her age last season and even THIS season, as made a point of fact in the first episode. She also gets along well with Sophie.

It's her personality to say things in a negative, wry manner, but it's not hard to see that's exacerbated by the fact that her mother has called open season on her and Benedict this season to get them married, or punish Eloise until she complies. Everyone is signaling to her that she is worthless to them if she doesn't conform. She has to sit away from everyone at dinner, no one wants to invite her to even get ice cream because that's what hetero couples do together (wtf), instead of getting education, she has to sit in on more finishing classes that Hyacinth does NOT need a chaperone for, and people forget about her entirely.

This isn't just being "a bit lonely." She's learning that they are going to throw her away and forget about her. And even if it's the time period, arguing historical accuracy in this show is a fool's errand. The Bridgertons have money. She's not going to be a drain on their considerable resources. Violet could very well find ways to get her more education or ensure that she could travel, all while keeping an eye out for someone who might be a good match for her as she is. But they don't respect who she is.

I really hope now that Violet gets laid, she will lay off Eloise a bit. From the way people were talking about this season, you'd think that Francesca and Michaela were banging nonstop and Eloise was bullying her little sister to tears. Instead, Fran is working out the frustration about her sexuality (whatever that eventually means) with her husband who she does in fact love, and Eloise and Hyacinth are experience Violet induced friction.
