Thought this was worth a reblog. :D Finished this redone piece a while back and wanted to post it closer to an exact year later...It’s sort of hard to judge your own progress unless there’s a more exact way to do it. And for me...redoing old art is the way.

For a year I’m pretty happy with my progress. I already wanna fix the new one but...that’s just an artist’s itch.
If you ever get into a rut (as I’m prone to)--thinking you’re not good enough...redo some old art. You’ll get it.
What’s more if there are any sticking points in your art...you’ll find them. When I say sticking points I mean things that you struggle with and need to buy some books or watch some Youtube videos on. (:
