THERE'S A CASTLE ON THE HILL, AS THE STORY GOES

Inspired to draw that scene from Team StarKid's Cinderella's Castle. (+a surprise Sir Hop-A-Lot and Crumb under the cut.)

The lighting on that set then (bright green with deep blue on the side) was so good that I had a strong impulse to just try and capture how I was envisioning the scene playing out in an illustrated fairytale-esque forest-scape-y thingy.

I really want to draw a Cinderella moment next - so hard to pick a specific scene!! I'll be thinking about it as I catch up on work rn. Hopefully I can get to it some time tonight. I did do a quick sketch of Rancilda that I'll post soon though!

It's been a wild couple of weeks, but I'm coming out the other side feeling energized~

Per the reblogs of your post: this just in, people from Spain aren't white anymore.

This one time I was reading the TV Tropes page of the animated movie Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, and one characters - evidently simply known as "Rat" - was described as "ambiguously brown" (yes, seriously), with the explanation that he "looks hispanic, but actually speaks italian". Like m8 italians just look like this. Mostly more put-together and dressed more nicely, but I have seen plenty of Italian people straight from Italy who are exactly this colouring.

Americans who are 1/16th ancestry from a nationality they vaguely know migrated there in the 1800s have extremely weird ideas of what people from different segments of Europe look like.
