In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessible…

And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damage…

Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.

He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.

It's incredibly sad people have to resort to this, but it's a damn good resource. Use it. Spread awareness. Maybe one day people with physical disabilities won't need DIYs like this. But until then, reblog and share.

played mass effect: andromeda and honestly. i think if you go into it with whimsy in your heart and joy on your mind you will find its a perfectly fine game that you can have a lot of fun with. also make your ryder romance jaal you will not regret it.

need to be clear. it's not a perfect game by a longshot but it is not nearly so terrible as i was set up to believe. it was a fun run! i enjoyed it. i think more people would also enjoy it if they gave it a proper shot. i have my gripes with the story and so chiefly with the still-existent bugs that caused me to have to completely close and reopen the game. but barring that it is still a good time. did it change me as a person shadow of the colossus style no i dont think anything will ever do that again but was it fun and did it have enjoyable characters and a new ocxcanon ship to rattle around in my brain yes

new skyrim save, new character! his name is denos and hes another morally grey stealth archer bosmer cause apparently thats what i like to play. so far personality-wise i think hes pretty similar to karogan but where karogan is :D and >:D denos is :) and its impossible to tell if the smile is sincere or sinister. hopefully i'll be able to draw him more cause i have ideas and i meant for him to be a bit more stoic and unsettling than he turned out here
