I was pleasantly surprised by The Jasmine Throne! I bought it because I liked the cover, and even though I'm not a big fantasy reader, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The political maneuvering kept me engaged, and the romance was captivating. But I didn't know that it is part of a series 😅

Born to experience deep affection forced to master the art of letting go
i hate when rich people condescend with the whole 'money can't buy happiness' argument like listen. just because buying your fourth car didn't fill the void in your deluded disconnected-from-reality life doesn't mean not having to worry about food/ bills/medicine wouldn't greatly improve the mental health of literally everyone else on the planet
there is a special kind of loneliness that comes at the end of summer. even as the sun’s warmth lingers, there’s a quiet feeling that something has slipped away. like the last echo of laughter carried off by the wind. this time of year always brings a touch of sadness & melancholy but within that sadness, there’s also this strange comfort. a hope that despite the ending, new beginnings are just around the corner
Trying to unwind after finals and lower stress levels before information to which universities I might be accepted in.
i don't know where to start!
time heals a whole lot and today is better than two years ago
you have to let yourself be a weird woman or you will not survive
So crazy how you have the worst day of your life but then the next day the sun keeps shining and the air’s just a little cooler w the onset of fall and you realize that there’s nothing you can’t come back from because the only time it will ever be too late is when we’re dead and not ever before

hello, long time no see!
i spent most of july teaching at a summer school, which was stressful but gave me a lot of much-needed experience. now back home, i am trying to find a good balance between working and enjoying my free time.
I got myself these lovely penguin classics editions of Pride and Prejudice and The Juvenilia of Jane Austen and Charlotte Brontë
