should be safe, but not in large amounts! Just look at the ingredients to make sure there’s no artificial sugars like sorbitol or xylitol

oh, that’s why
Hey bird people! Is there any way to make metal water dishes less mirror-like? My poor dumb boy has gotten fixated on his reflection on the side of his dish and it’s… not great for anyone. Are there plastic sleeves/cups/covers I could use? Would coating the outside something like plasti-dip work? Sanding it until it’s not shiny?
a good nail file would probably work
Mites aren’t parasitic bloodsuckers, but helpful cleaners
For decades, pet owners, zoos and laboratories were all told that “feather mites” were harmful bird parasites that needed total eradication, but we apparently only just recently looked at their gut contents and we’ve found that they’re eating nothing but fungi, bacteria and other feather contaminants - many of which are actually harmful to birds when left unchecked.
When your bird looks at you, straight in the eye and you think;
“Oh my Goodness, my bird trusts me and loves me with its entire life, what would I do without it?”
You know that’s something of pure love and happiness to cherish, always.
