I've always felt uneasy about wanting to get people to pay attention to the atrocities committed by Israel in Gaza by saying "if Israel isn't stopped, it's only a matter of time before it happens to you" because why not care even if this wasn't ever going to affect you personally

But seeing as how Israel had targeted a clearly marked vehicle of World Central Kitchen today, killing 4 of its staff operating in southern Gaza who are Australian, British and Polish - just goes to show these people again that Israel is setting precedent and making sure the world understands that it's not "violating international law", it is in fact changing the standard and setting the stage of what counts as a crime and what is permissible and can be done with complete impunity and no consequences.

the commodification of friendship is the most annoying thing to come out of the internet in ages. like actually i love to break this to you but you're supposed to help your friends move even if it's hard work. or stay up with them when they're sad even if you're gonna lose sleep. you're supposed to listen to their fears and sorrows even if it means your own mind takes on a little bit of that weight. that's how you know that you care. they will drive you to the airport and then you will make them soup when they're sick. you're supposed to make small sacrifices for them and they are supposed to do that for you. and there's actually gonna be rough patches for both of you where the balance will be uneven and you will still be friends and it will not be unhealthy and they will not be abusive. life is not meant to be an endless prioritization of our own comfort if it was we would literally never get anywhere ever. jesus.

Your local library is offering unlimited ebooks all the time. Forever. No contracts, no predatory practices, no tracking of how long you spend on each particular page in the hopes that information about your habits can be sold for a profit.

i think most of us headcanon peter and ned were best friends since they were young kids, so like. how does the memory wipe even work for ned to just have SO MANY gaps? there’s so much missing. birthday parties. sleepovers. partners for science fairs. trick or treating in matching costumes. playing video games and geeking out over a shared love for movies and tv shows. sitting alone but together at lunch (well, except for mj but she joined later). he remembers the events but in fragments, like parts of them were blurred out or scratched over with graphite.

you don’t always remember exactly what happened, but you remember how you felt, and ned doesn’t remember feeling alone. wouldn’t he remember such a sad and painful feeling? but when he wracks his brain, he doesn’t think there was anyone there. the chair beside him was always empty, wasn’t it?
