New sketchbook woopwoop
Granted this sketchbook so far looks a bit too tidy, but I’m sure within a few more weeks it’ll get as chaotic-looking as the last :) Messy isn’t something I look on as a bad thing, mind you I set my standards low anyway as I often get comments from fam and friends about my ‘dishevelled’ appearance. Well, I am an artiste after all……………
16th-30th April 2017 Big round up of sketchbook drawings from the past few weeks. Haven't done terribly much. What can I say? I'm lazy I'll hopefully feel more motivated once I finish this sketchbook and start a new one because this one just has too many pages to fill and I am getting pretty bored with it.....

5th April - 15th April 2017
I have been so busy the past fortnight, trying to get close to finishing my college project, which is due this coming Monday, that I have hardly had any time to draw in my sketchbook. Anything I did draw was just random scribbles from various points during the day. Still nowhere near finished the project tho. There is literally no end in sight
The first pages at the top depict a few quick sketches, plus me recording my experience of my first diy ‘stick and poke’ tattoo. It turned out not too badly. I kinda like the spontaneous nature of it, despite it being slightly uneven.
The second pic is just a quick experiment from during printmaking at college. It thought the gradient effect made using the roller was cool. The third pic is just a double page spread made over the course of a few days, made up of random patterns and doodles, featuring Bro

Its been a stressful few days at college. Some people need to understand that hearing “you look like a living zombie” as soon as you walk in is NOT going to improve the fed-up, tired, bitchy mood I woke up with that day.
I did feel pretty bad for everyone later on though. I can be a pain to deal with when I’m being a “mardy bum”. Or so I have been told.
I used drawing in my sketchbook as a de-stress tactic that day. Seems to help. Would recommend.
Oh yeah, I went to the cinema with the family too, to see ‘Kong’. I got really bored during the trailers so just started drawing my bro (first pic). The film was better than I thought. I recommend this also

Well, I have been busy. Drawing, anyway. Not working. I wasn’t in the mood to be doing something as productive as working. Dear God, no. I officially have no idea what I’m doing with my college art project so I’m saving that up for the Easter holidays, and right now I’ll just do what I do best … nothing. plus an occasional drawing
FYI in the middle photo where it says ‘10 things I hate about that bitch Amanda’ was just a joke to wind her up, as when I post photos of my sketchbook on Facebook or whatever, she always zooms up really close to read every microscopic section of text. the writing under there us just random crap and I pixelated it out to annoy her lol

Some doodles from over the weekend and to during lunchtime at college yesterday. I tend to draw the people I’m around the most which is why there are multiples of the same person. My friend Kristen doesn’t mind lol she takes it as a compliment that I draw her lots. I MUCH prefer people drawing over still life as I find people’s faces and the way they dress fascinating to draw. It helps being in a class full art students as they always seem to dress in the most wacky and interesting way, wonderfully random and eclectic as a group yet still expressing their own unique styles.
“My eyes feel like raisins” - this was the only way I could describe the horrible tired shrivelled feeling in my eyes at the beginning of a cold. Just clarifying

My friends Kristen, Amanda and I went to Costa after college, our weekly meeting point where we gather to complain about everything annoying that happened that week at college. I enjoy this time. Its a bit like therapy (and god knows we all need it) Our week of college actually ends at 1pm on a Wednesday, as we are not required in after that, but it leaves us with a shit tonne of work to take home and keeps us busy and stressed until the following Monday morning, when we start the week all over again. This week’s converation topic was about how inconvenient the two week long Easter break is next month, as it means the college will be shut when we need in to do stuff for upcoming deadlines

These are some sketchbook pages I doodled over the weekend.
The first picture features just random shit I wanted to get out my head. Including a cute chipmunk thing I named ‘Little Jim’. Tbh he was the best thing that came out of that extremely uneventful weekend
The pages in the second pic were done during college on Monday and are drawings of friends at lunch, during which we came up with fruit nicknames for ourselves. My names Huckleberry if you were wondering. Also did a quick portrait of my sculpture teacher, Alison when she was giving the class a pep talk on how to not screw up our presentations. Most of us are pretty awful when it comes to presenting stuff. I shamefully include myself in that bracket. I get serious nerves talking in front of others.

5/03/17 Heres a few pages from my current sketchbook/journal/brain dump ground, in the past week. I wouldn’t day I have a particular journaling style or anything, but mainly just use this notebook to scribble down random thoughts floating around in my head.
I’ve been doing this sort of thing for as long as I can remember, including a trip to Wales when I was about 4yo and illustrated what my family and I did that day. In the best way a 4yo could, obviously, I was no Da Vinci, it featured mostly stick men.
This is something I do everyday and will start posting on the internet in various places because…why not.
