This account's been quiet, so as I give my region a silent reboot, I've kept busy and decided to do a redesign of the Kanto starters that's been a pretty popular thing to do, and I have to say I love them all. I originally didn't have a theme for them, but I went with a type of Japanese influence for them all, because Bulbasaur's final evolution idea I have was one, and then as I brainstormed Charmander's evolutions it became clear that I did want something really Asian for them, so it made coming up with an evolution for Squirtle all the easier too.
For Bulbasaur (my favorite) I went with a bearded dragon as it's main source for a design, because they're neat and I refuse to believe the original is supposed to be a frog.
Charmander took me the longest to pick a color scheme I liked, but here it is. The main idea behind it is an olm to keep the salamander base, and a flying lizard.
Last but not least, Squirtle, who took me the longest to get to because I had NO IDEA what I wanted for it. Picking an animal was one thing, but I never do a base design without having a whole idea for an entire line. Once the theme for all three came in, the whole design came together. It's based on a pig nosed turtle and a red-bellied short-necked turtle.
I'll post some finished "official" pieces of them later with more, for now enjoy these and lemme know what you guys think of these. Always love comments and feedback, and if you want to guess what the evolution ideas are going to be, go ahead.

Trainer Frisby would like to Battle!
So I never participate in art challenges anywhere, but this month's theme on a Discord server was Pokemon and to design yourself with a team you feel accurately represents you, and I just HAD to jump into it. So here's my gay AF team lol. All shiny minus Gothitelle because the shiny on that one is hideous. I'd say it's a nice mix of nerdy, spooky, whimsical, and a slight touch of bizarre.
Mind you, it was difficult to pick and choose, and with a time limit on the whole challenge I had to be quick, so I had to discard even some of my all time favorites such as Serperior, Cutiefly, Sewaddle, Sigilyph, Cofagrigus and even Drfiblim.
So they are all female minus the Espathra, because at that point I stopped caring about the genders of most if not all Pokemon. So my Flittle became a beautiful drag queen ostrich.
Minus Frisby, I decided to go with a dot art style of a specific region, to not only give it a more unique look, but also to not make them all glaringly distracting.
Hope you guys like it.
Seawinkle
Water type
Ability: Torrent (Powers up Water-type moves when the Pokémon's HP is low)
Dreamworld Ability: Dazzling (Surprises the opposing Pokémon, making it unable to attack using priority moves.)
Dream Entry: When cornered, Seawinkle will create a strobe light effect with their bulbs, confusing and frightening the predator for a moment, and then it makes its escape. It is much faster in the water than on land.
Chaos Entry: It communicates with others by flickering the bulbs on its shell. Scientists have discovered it knows Morse code, but aren’t sure if it learned it from humans or if it originated it.
Additional Data: At night, these Pokémon illuminate seashores with the constant flickering of their shells, which attracts dozens of people to watch. If they sense someone has stepped into the water, they will stop their lights and hide right away. Seawinkle also put predators in a trance-like state by rapidly flashing their lights as fast as possible, and will flee the moment they get a chance.

Fuegoat
Fire type
Ability: Blaze (Powers up Fire-type moves when the Pokémon's HP is low.)
Dreamworld Ability: Mold Breaker (Moves can be used on the target regardless of its Abilities.)
Dream Entry: The wool around its body is made from smoke, which it uses as a way to hide if it were to encounter an opponent stronger than it. It enjoys randomly headbutting children.
Chaos Entry: Fuegoat’s horns let out a type of whistle every time flames erupt from the holes. It mostly does this if it gets separated from its trainer or family.
Additional Data: They are extremely easy to frighten, which causes the smoke on their body to burst and vanish, and then it stiffens and rolls on its back for several minutes. Once it regains its composure, it’ll become upset and begin headbutting whoever scared it or the closest object.

I started somehting on twitter !
So glad every time someone knows what gorebyss is
We need a pipefish next. Maybe a sea moth.
Wyrmsprout
Grass Type
Ability: Overgrow (Powers up Grass-type moves when the Pokémon's HP is low)
Dreamworld Ability: Spirit Guard (The Pokémon heals all allies stat conditions and changes upon entering battle)
Dream Entry: As it basks in the sunlight, the petals on its body become a much more vivid shade of yellow. When it is feeling threatened, it will make a rattling-like sound with the petals by rapidly quivering its body.
Chaos Entry: When shedding its petals, they release an extremely sweet minty scent into the air, attracting all sorts of bugs to come and carry them away. Wyrmsprout’s scent are known to change depending on the location and season.
In-Depth Entry: Hundreds of these Pokémon gather in large pools of water during full moon nights, and then stare at it until dawn. After they leave, the water is left with an extremely strong smell and taste of mint.
Early settlers in Ausback almost hunted Wyrmsprout to extinction due to their bodies providing amazing healing powers. They vanished for several decades, causing a mass ecological imbalance in rivers and grassy plains, until they suddenly resurfaced out of nowhere. To this day, scientists are baffled as to where they disappeared came back from.

Ausback Starters
Meet your starters! Will you choose Wyrmsprout, the minty pipefish Pokemon? Or maybe Fuegoat, the smoke cloud Pokemon? Or maybe even Seawinkle, the glowing sea snail Pokemon?
Are you a Grass, Fire or Water starter type?
--
The theme for the line in Eldritch, and the follow the same unofficial rules as the other starters. Grass is an extinct animal with a type of plant in it’s system, Fire is an animal from the Chinese Calendar, and Water is an amphibious animal (can be both aquatic and terrestrial).
But it's Thursday???
It's literally tuesday
Ok but it’s Friday tomorrow, and I have this shiny Drifloon card
Pokémon Dream & Chaos
Meet your starters of the Ausback Region: Wyrmsprout, Fuegoat, and Seawinkle.
