SO I FIND OUT MY FRIENDS AND I ARE ON OUR LOCAL NEWS WEBSITE
We were asked all these questions about how long the costumes took us, how we did it, etc.
I paused the video right when we were asked how much money we spent on our cosplays and

does that give you your answer
THIS WILL NEVER NOT BE FUNNY
one of the guys in the kitchen at work got called irritating and replied “I am not irritating. You just find me irritating. There are many people who love me.” I think we should all adopt his attitude
The Enigma of Amigara Fault
This short story by Junji Ito is about a fault that appears in Amigara mountain after an earthquake. The earthquake exposes countless human-shaped holes in the mountain which seem to have been made about a thousand years ago. People, intrigued by these silhouettes, gather at the site and that’s when things get creepy.
It’s about a 15-20 min read, but if you haven’t read this before, you’re in for a treat. Link above.
i mean it’s not like i can just NOT reblog amigara fault. what if one of my followers is one of the lucky ten thousand who HASN’T been unutturably altered for life by it yet? go read it! it’s creepy, but trust me, it was made for you.
Hooray! Yay! Dykes!
I'm not seeing any naked adults in that screenshot...
...There's something deeply messed up about how breasts, which are used by our species to feed babies, are considered to be so perverse and obscene that a child should never see them.
There aren't any naked people in the entire video clip. There's some people that you'd probably see less of their skin on a beach, but only because on a beach they'd probably be wearing a bikini top as well as whatever else they have on. And this is New York City, where toplessness is legal regardless of gender or assigned sex.
Toplessness for breasts is legal in most places in the US, unlegislated in almost all that remain, and only illegal in two states: Ohio and Tennessee.
This is because topless equality has been a basic push from feminists for literally decades, until Radfems and NeoCons bonded over wanting a trans genocide less than a decade ago.
It's literally why the "no tits on tumblr" and other lesser SESTA/FOSTA consequences* like it were so jarring. It set back FORTY. YEARS. OF PROGRESS in the rights of people with breasts or perceived as women to wear the same clothes as people without.
Do not let conservatives lie to you about this. The majority of people in the us and the VAST majority of States recognize the right of people to not wear a damn shirt. It isn't obscenity, it isn't even nudity, it's just something pericis men are allowed that everyone else isn't.
Y'know.
Basic sexual discrimination.
*Y'all aren't still on that "it was the Apple app store that caused the tit ban" shit, right? It was the literal US federal government. To be fucking clear.
give me the beat boys and free your plums I wanna steal some of the icebox ones this is just to say
So, unlike Eridians, we discovered fire very early on and so our civilization kinda grew up with combustion right? We've had thousands of years to normalize it and get comfortable with the idea of using it casually for warmth or cooking etc.
In contrast, Eridians had to discover fire in a lab since their atmosphere doesnt have O2 like ours. So they dont have, like, an entire culture normalizing fire.
> Be me. Rocky the Eridian cosmonaut
> Tell Grace about Eridian space elevator design made out of Xenonite. Grace very impressed, says humans only dream about making space elevator.
> Odd? Ask Human friend Grace how humans got into space. Expecting some high tech solution since science humans clearly know more physics.
> Grace explains Humans strapped other Humans on top of Fire-Explodatron-9000 machines made out of weak human metal, basically Eridian cardboard, then shot them into orbit. Grace say the fire it makes is quite pretty to look at

In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:
Taylor Farms Earthbound Farms Little Salad Bar (Aldi) Marketside (Walmart) Kroger House Brand Target private label greens Costco salads and greens etc Trader Joe's chopped salad kits and fresh produce Fast food: McDonalds, Taco Bell, (Yum! Brands), Chipotle, Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, Olive Garden, Top Golf, Red Lobster, Burger King, etc.
This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.
We need a fully funded and staffed FDA, and regulations with teeth - and that's exactly what we don't have under Trump. To make things worse, the CDC is no longer tracking these outbreaks. We're on our own.
“Do Dead Malls Go To Heaven?”
Experimented a bit with a new way of detailing the tiles. Kinda like it? This particular piece took a hell of a lot of work. I’d love if you shared the vibes it’s giving off, for research purposes 💖
hi i drew fanart because the vibes were off the charts
"Come on, Ken! We've got to solve what happened to this totally rad shopping mall!"
I was gonna say the first image had very off label backrooms vibes so now I am obsessed with the idea of Backrooms Barbie

Ever since Luo Binghe's cultivation had leveled up he'd noticed his senses were much sharper. Like, unusually sharp.
Meng Mo pointed to that as proof of his demonic heritage but Luo Binghe was still holding on to the hope that he was just special in some other, non-demonic, way.
The weirdest thing about his enhanced hearing was the buzzing. It wasn't always there, and he only ever heard it in the Bamboo House. Shizun didn't hear it, he'd asked. It was weirdly faint and...it was almost like he felt it more than heard it? It was like a buzzing beehive but...higher?
No one else could hear it either though maybe that was because Binghe was garbage at describing it.
It isn't until he hears it on a night hunt that Luo Binghe realizes. He doesn't hear it only in the Bamboo House. He only hears it around Shizun.
That revelation allows him to narrow it down. Whenever he hears the noise Shizun will be staring into space, looking sad or upset. When Binghe interrupts him in these moments the sound will end and Shizun is the same as ever.
Sometimes when Binghe is busy in the kitchen or in his room late at night he'll hear Shizun muttering to himself. He doesn't mean to eavesdrop but with his advanced hearing it can't be helped.
"How many points do I have?"
"...no I don't need that."
"I don't understand how you get your scores for these things."
One night Luo Binghe dozes off in his room early, he'd been busy all day and had just laid down to read. He wakes up to Shizun entering his room some time later. He keeps his eyes closed. The buzzing is here too.
Shizun extinguishes Binghe's lamp and gently takes the book from Binghe's chest.
"System? Is the Abyss event unavoidable?" Shizun whispers.
Binghe cracks his eyes open just a sliver. In the dark Shizun's face is unreadable but there's... Something reflecting in his eyes, something blue.
Shizun sighs deeply and waves a hand dismissively. The buzzing stops, and Shizun leaves.
____
The Abyss buzzes. Like the invisible thing that follows Shizun. He can still hear that thing buzzing now, even over the noise of the Abyss. Shizun has his sword out, pointed at Binghe- but his eyes keep sliding off to the side.
"What are you looking at?" Binghe demands. "What's the buzzing thing that follows you around? Why do you listen to it??"
For the first time since his seal broke Shizun looks straight at him. He looks terrified.
"I'm not- There's nothing-" Shizun lies.
When Binghe moves towards him he moves his sword away, Shizun doesn't actually want to hurt him, Binghe is sure. The buzzing thing is a different story. He can see it again when he sets close enough to grab Shizun's wrist, the blue sheen in his eyes.
"I'm so sorry Binghe," Shizun says. "I-"
Shizun stops, going utterly still. His face goes blank, and his eyes are suddenly a vivid unearthly blue. The buzzing is so loud it hurts Binghe's ears.
"Shizun?"
Shizun slips out of his grip and before he realizes what's happening. A heartbeat later Shizun is at the edge of the Abyss. He jumps before Binghe can stop him.
Binghe follows immediately. He can't leave Shizun alone with that buzzing thing.
#“I can't tell you anything” Shizun whispers as Binghe desperately tries to get his blood mites to knit Shizun's spine back together#“It won't let me.” “Don't worry Shizun I'll save you.” Binghe tells him
I LOVE Luo Binghe finds out about the system fics/ideas.
Must not pick that scab off. It will not in fact get rid of the scab and just create a different scab. The scab is not done cooking yet. I am completely normal about scabs. <-gripping the edges of his chair so tightly the wood is starting to crack

Inspired by a conversation with @fourseasonsblossoms I loved your idea and had to draw it!
asked one of my coworkers how she's doing today and she goes "could be better, could be worse," and another coworker nearby who was eavesdropping chimes in with "could be a lil bit o' alligator curse!" i have no idea what he meant by that but i do know that it has been immediately added to the lexicon.
