I really love when cats use their front legs to hold something in place while they use their back legs to kick the absolute shit out of it
Destruction. Annihilation, even
I hate hate hate hearing people go “oooh disease transmissions don’t happen in the summer, YoU cAN go mASKleSs” and it feels like such ignorant people never had a summer cold before and I don’t know how to deal with such ignorant airheads. >:/

Newly released documents from the DOJ reveal the depravity of Leon Black’s violent rape of multiple children at Jeffrey Epstein’s New York townhouse. The documents show multiple lawyers for the victims, including Jeanne M. Christensen and Douglas Wigdor growing frustrated by federal prosecutors who failed to pursue Black. Christensen had provided overwhelming evidence to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York—but prosecutors did nothing.
“Outrageous that criminal charges have not been brought against him.” Christensen wrote to the USAO in 2023.
Victims independently alleged Leon Black had mutilated their bodies by suddenly clenching his teeth into their genitalia.
Scorching summer of 2003 triggered first efforts to deal with the problem but heatwaves still have devastating impact
On Wednesday, Pierre Masselot received a text from his daughter’s nursery – less than 50 miles from the weather station that was the first this week to break the UK June temperature record – asking parents to collect children early because the school buildings were about to get worryingly hot. Similar scenes were repeated across Europe this week as the continent swelters through its most severe and widespread heatwave on record – an oppressive force made hotter by carbon pollution and less bearable by repeated failures to prepare for it. France experienced its hottest day and night on record, while the UK and Switzerland both broke their heat records for a June day. For Masselot, an environmental epidemiologist at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, who has become one of Europe’s leading detectives tallying the hidden death toll from heatwaves, the past few days are reminiscent of the terrible summer heat that swept Europe in 2003. While he was too young then to fear for his health, he was old enough to grasp the horrors it held. Then, the teenager from southern France was bouncing basketballs in the sun at summer camp as brutal August heat turned towns and cities across Europe into ovens. Hot days stressed bodies and warm nights ruined rest. Older people, particularly women and those who lived alone, made up the bulk of the 70,000 victims who died from that summer’s extreme heat. Now, the exceptions of the past have become the norms of today – and the exceptions of today will soon be the norms of tomorrow. By the time Masselot’s toddler is 14, the same age he was in 2003, global heating will have blown well past the 1.5C (2.7F) target that world leaders promised to keep temperature rises to by the end of the century, and punishing extremes will have hit uncharted heights. “Climate scientists have been saying for a long time we’ll have a lot more 2003s,” said Masselot, now 37. “Now it’s become painfully obvious this is the case.” Yet despite repeated warnings and rising awareness, heatwaves still bring large parts of the continent to its knees. Several hospitals in England have declared critical incidents as a result of extreme heat, with cooling units breaking down and critical IT systems stalling, while schools, workplaces and railways have been thrown into chaos and wildfires have broken out. In France, where half of all homes have poor protection from high heat, more than 55 people have drowned while trying to cool down, four young children have died inside hot cars and two nuclear reactors have been forced to close for lack of cooling water.

It's a damning indictment of every European government since 2000. Even now, there are those that want to abandon net zero promises with the excuse that the cost of living is too high for the average citizen. They ignore the fact that it will be higher still in the future thanks to their policies of investing in fossil fuel infrastructure.
Totally non-regulation
"grackle" really is a perfect name for a bird. knocked it out of the park w/ that one
Damn. That really is a grackle.

Researchers have discovered that leaky blood vessels, together with a hyperactive immune system may be the underlying cause of brain fog in people with long covid. They suggest their discovery is important for the understanding of brain fog and cognitive decline – difficulty with thinking, memory or concentration – seen in some people with the condition. It is hoped the findings will help with the development of treatments in the future.
To Summarize:
Long Covid sufferers experience symptoms like forgetfulness and concentration issues due to leakiness in brain blood vessels, according to research findings.
Scientists from Trinity College Dublin and FutureNeuro confirm that Long Covid patients with brain fog have disrupted blood vessels in their brains, making the neurological symptoms measurable.
Blood vessel leakage in the brain, along with an overactive immune system, may be the key drivers of brain fog in Long Covid patients, leading to potential changes in understanding and treating post-viral conditions.
I can't find a single right-wing news source covering this.
hey you should look into how to do an abdominal massage on yourself, also yoga poses that aid in digestion
your intestines are basically a series of muscles that just push food thru your body, but all your muscles are connected so you can use additional muscles to help out
it's one of the holistic health things I learned about before getting long covid and it's really helped
summer in the northern hemisphere means it's hot, people are travelling a lot, and going out to eat more in general but also at fairs/festivals/barbecues. All of this can mess up your digestion and it's nice to have an option to do something besides for just waiting it out or taking medication
I’m literally distraught over how covid is affecting kids. But even more so for the kids whose parents don’t believe they’re sick and need help and get punished for not being able to function. Because I was one of those kids long before covid existed. It’s a living hell that you feel so trapped in that you start to think about The End to escape and no kid deserves to feel that way.
I was one of those kids long before covid, and people refuse to believe some of the abuse I suffered at the hands of teachers, school administrators, and doctors who cared more about selling drugs for pharma reps than addressing their patients' needs. The kids developing long covid right now are going through the same meat grinder I did, only it's not just one assistant principal or a gym coach who wants them to suffer for having any needs, it's everyone they're around. Because if these adults admit the kid has a problem because of repeated covid infections, they admit that they followed social trends over any best practices and helped to create the crisis they want to get praised for dealing with. That times ~50 kids a school and growing... it's so disgusting and sad to watch what happened to me as a kid with chronic illness happen to millions more AND WE KNOW ITS HAPPENING BUT WHY WOULD WE SPEND TEN CENTS A CHILD TO KEEP THEM SAFER WITH MERV 13 FILTERS OR FIVE CENTS A KID TO STIMEY OUTBREAKS WITH MASKING OR DISTANCE LEARNING WHEN CASES ARE HIGH?
everyone knows when Simon and Johnny have been snogging on missions because Johnny ends up with dark, sticky, and nearly irremovable eye black on his nose and cheeks. At least it covers up his blush. ://
