I think people who weren't really watching she ra back in the days would never really understand how its one of the first animated show with an actual queer female lead with a female love interest and an actual on screen kiss.

Obviously we've had shows with lgbt representations before, but when s5 dropped and there was declaration of love, and a kiss, a happy future for the two female leads? It felt so freeing. Like its finally,actually possible for all of this to happen despite the studios and the shareholders and whatever the fuck US(and global) conservative media is spreading at that time.

I remember thinking they might just imply catra and adora got together, tease us with a bit of handholding. But no, they went there, they did the kiss, and it was so, so freeing.

And now its so, so devastating to have this landmark of an animation get removed off its only streaming platform, without ever a full physical media release. Its sad this is allowed to happen at any media at all, and its tragic its allowed to happen to one of the most iconic LGBT shows out there.

I drew this back when the finale dropped and completely blew my mind. I've never been very good at drawing but I did after the finale and catradora has been so precious to me to this day.

I hope people won't forget about them. Ihope the show will persist. I hope there will be more like it.
