sometimes it’ll be inconvenient. sometimes you will have to sit through a movie you don’t enjoy and still say, “it was nice!” sometimes you’ll have to forgive them for things, and sometimes you’ll have to have tough conversations. human connection is often about learning how and why and what and when to care about another person. at least the one’s that are worth it. it might cost a couple more emotional dollars, and the shipping is a couple business days more, but it’s worth it.

Other notes: I like how there are feminine endings/unstressed endings in the odd-numbered lines and masculine endings/stressed endings in the even-numbered rhyming lines, but how there's an extra unstressed syllable at the beginnings of lines 1-2 and not 3-4. It creates a symmetry where each line is unique, and each line shares elements of its structure both with the line adjacent to it and with the corresponding line in the other couplet!

The actual ratio of racist people on 4chan vs tumblr is probably very similar but 4channers are just more honest about it. Now Facebook users are also just as honest about it but they are racist in a way they feel comfortable associating with their real name and face which results in a slightly different genre of racism.
