🇩🇪 19 Mai 2021 - Nach viel Organisation und Stress konnte die Verwandlung jetzt endlich beginnen. Der erste Schritt erfolgte bei der Firma Engbarth Performance. Dort bekam ich eine neue Front-und Heckstoßstange, um zum einen den Unfallschaden zu beheben und zum anderen um nach dem Folieren das Heck komplett auf Cupra Optik umbauen zu können. Außerdem wurden neue Kennzeichen Magnete an den Stoßstangen angebracht, damit diese nun auch endlich gerade sitzen. Alles weitere können wir erst machen, wenn das Auto foliert ist. Also heißt es jetzt erst einmal warten.

🇺🇲 May 19th, 2021 - After a lot of organization and stress, the transformation could finally begin. The first step was taken at Engbarth Performance. There I got a new front and rear bumper, on the one hand to repair the accident damage and on the other hand to be able to convert the rear completely to Cupra optics after the wrapping. In addition, new license plate magnets were attached to the bumpers so that they finally sit straight. We can only do everything else when the car is wrapped. So now it's time to wait.

🇩🇪 10 Apr 2021 - Es war mal wieder an der Zeit für den üblichen Service. Neben neuem Öl wurden auch die Fehler ausgelesen. Außerdem wurde nach dem Problem beim Starten des Autos geschaut, denn für einen Moment läuft es dann ein bisschen unruhig. Aber da im Fehlerspeicher nicht gefunden wurde und auch kein Bauteil offensichtlich defekt ist, werde ich das ganze weiterhin mal beobachten und schauen ob sich etwas verändert.

🇺🇲 Apr 10th, 2021 - It was time for the usual service again. In addition to new oil, the errors were also read out. We also looked for the problem with starting the car, because for a moment it then runs a bit restlessly. But since it was not found in the error memory and no component is obviously defective, I will continue to observe the whole thing and see if anything changes.

🇩🇪 03 Mär 2021 - Meine neuen Felgen sind endlich angekommen. Sogar früher als eigentlich gedacht. Jetzt heißt es nur noch warten, bis die Reifen da und auf die Felgen gezogen sind. Eigentlich würde ich sie gerne so bald wie möglich montieren, aber am liebsten wäre es mir, wenn sie zusammen mit der neuen Folie aufs Auto kommen. Allerdings bin ich mir unsicher, ob die anderen Sommerreifen, die noch auf meinen Serienfelgen sind, noch genug Profil haben und ob ich diese zur Not bis zur Folierung noch fahren kann. Auf jeden Fall sind sie unglaublich schön und sie werden so gut auf das Auto passen!

🇺🇲 Mar 03rd, 2021 - My new rims have finally arrived. Even earlier than expected. Now all I have to do is wait until the tires are there and attached to the rims. Actually, I would like to install them as soon as possible, but I would like it best if they come on the car along with the new wrap. However, I am not sure whether the other summer tires that are still on my standard rims still have enough profile and whether I can still drive them until the wrap is done if necessary. In any case, they are incredibly beautiful and they will fit the car so well!

🇩🇪 27 Feb 2021 - Etwas, dass auch dringend an der Zeit war, war es meine Bremsen zu tauschen. Da ich weder die fachliche Kompetenz noch die Möglichkeiten dafür habe, bekam ich wieder einmal ein bisschen Hilfe. Und obwohl die erste Seite nicht ganz reibungslos funktionierte, hat es anschließend wunderbar geklappt. Allerdings sind mir noch ein paar Kleinigkeiten an meinen Hinterachsdämpfern aufgefallen, was nach kurzer Rücksprache aber auch behoben war. Und nach einer Probefahrt war dann auch schon alles geschafft.

🇺🇲 Feb 27th, 2021 - Something that was urgently needed was to swap my brakes. Since I have neither the technical competence nor the possibilities for it, I got a little help again. And even though the first side didn't work very smoothly, it worked wonderfully afterwards. However, I noticed a few small things on my rear axle dampers, which were fixed after a short consultation. And after a test drive, everything was done.

🇩🇪 26 Feb 2021 - So langsam wurde es wirklich Zeit meine Heckklappendämpfer auszutauschen. Ich habe zwar gemerkt, dass deren Funktion nicht mehr so ist wie sie einmal war, allerdings dachte ich nicht, dass sie so schlimm aussehen. Aber es war auch nicht sonderlich schwer, abgesehen von dem Brett das ich brauchte um die Heckklappe abzustützen. Innerhalb weniger Minuten war ich dann auch schon damit fertig und alles funktioniert wieder einwandfrei.

🇺🇲 Feb 26th, 2021 - It was really time to replace my tailgate dampers. I noticed that their function is no longer what it used to be, but I didn't think they looked that bad. But it wasn't particularly difficult either, apart from the board I needed to support the tailgate. Within a few minutes I was done with it and everything works fine again.

🇩🇪 24 Feb 2021 - Obwohl die Sache mit dem Unfall noch nicht ganz vom Tisch ist, ist die Planung für die neue Folie in vollem Gang. Da ich mit meinen Design Ideen nicht mehr weiter gekommen bin war es an der Zeit einen Profi dafür zu engagieren. Dafür habe ich sämtliche Ideen und Vorlagen zusammengestellt und eine E-Mail mit meinen Vorstellungen verfasst. Jetzt heißt es warten, bis das Geld überwiesen ist und ich die ersten fertigen Grafiken bekomme. Ich bin jetzt schon unglaublich gespannt darauf wie es aussieht. Aber bis zum fertigen Ergebnis werde ich das ganze noch geheim halten. Also seid gespannt!

🇺🇲 Feb 24th, 2021 - Although the insurance matter is not completely off the table, planning for the new wrap is in full swing. Since I couldn't get any further with my own design ideas, it was time to hire a professional. For this I have put together all the ideas and templates and wrote an email with my ideas. Now I have to wait until the money has been transferred and I get the first finished graphics. I'm already incredibly excited to see how it looks. But until the finished result, I'll keep it a secret. So stay tuned!

🇩🇪 08 Feb 2021 - Anschließend ging es "vom Regen in die Traufe". Denn nur ein paar Tage später waren wir bei einem Freund zu Besuch und ich traute meinen Augen kaum, als ich nachts zum Rauchen vor die Tür ging. Ich konnte zusehen, wie mein Auto von immer mehr Schnee bedeckt wurde. Es dauerte fast 2 Stunden bis wir es komplett frei geschaufelt und bestimmt 2 weitere Stunden bis wir bereit waren zum losfahren. Mir war so unglaublich kalt und meine Hände waren trotz Handschuhen total gefroren. Auch der Heimweg war sehr anstrengend, da es an vielen Stellen glatt war und es die meiste Zeit geschneit hat.

🇺🇲 Feb 08th, 2021 - Then it went "from bad to worse". Because only a few days later we were visiting a friend and I could hardly believe my eyes when I went outside to smoke a cigarette at night. I could watch how my car was getting covered in snow. It took almost 2 hours until we shoveled it completely free and definitely 2 more hours until we were ready to go. I was so incredibly cold and my hands were totally frozen despite the gloves. The way home was also very tiring, as it was slippery in many places and it snowed most of the time.

🇩🇪 03 Feb 2021 - Da denkt man einmal, dass man einen guten Parkplatz auf der Arbeit erwischt hat und dann regnet es den ganzen Tag. Nachdem meine Kollegen schon darüber gescherzt haben, wer die armen Trottel sind deren Autos komplett im Wasser stehen, war ich bereits ein wenig beunruhigt. Der Schock folgte dann als ich tatsächlich vor meinem Auto stand. Natürlich war das der einzige Parkplatz der wirklich komplett unter Wasser stand. Jetzt weiß ich auch warum dort morgens niemand parken wollte und dass ich mein Auto in Zukunft auch nicht mehr dort hin stellen werde. Also durfte ich erst einmal zu meinem Auto "schwimmen" und es dann irgendwie dort raus manövrieren ohne es noch dreckiger zu machen als es sowieso schon war. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, wenn es endlich Sommer wird!

🇺🇲 Feb 03rd, 2021 - You think once that you have found a good parking space at work and then it rains all day. After my colleagues joked about who the poor idiots are whose cars are completely in the water, I was a little worried. The shock then followed when I actually stood in front of my car. Of course that was the only parking lot that was really completely under water. Now I also know why nobody wanted to park there in the morning and that I won't park my car there in the future either. So I had to "swim" to my car first and then somehow maneuver it out of there without making it any dirtier than it already was. I can't wait to when it's finally summer again!

🇩🇪 14 Jan 2021 - Nachdem meine Reifen schon die Verschleißgrenze erreicht hatten, wurde es nun dringend Zeit für neue. Also haben wir neue Winterreifen bestellt und diese auf meine bisherigen Sommerfelgen gezogen. Diese werde ich werde ich ab sofort für den Winter benutzen, da im Laufe des Jahres neue Felgen gekauft werden, welche besser zum neuem Design passen. Außerdem ist es dann auch möglich in den Wintermonaten Bilder machen zu gehen, was mit den bisherigen Stahlfelgen absolut undenkbar war. Das habe ich auch direkt genutzt, da ich das Angebot bekam in einer leerstehenden Lagerhalle auf dem Gelände des Frankfurter Flughafens zu shooten. Eigentlich hatte ich vor auch Bilder von mir machen zu lassen, allerdings war es selbst in der Halle sehr kalt und ich habe mich wegen meiner Haare unglaublich unwohl gefühlt.

🇺🇲 Jan 14th, 2021 - After my tires had already reached their wear limit, it was now urgently time for new ones. So we ordered new winter tires and put them on my previous summer rims. I will use these for the winter from now on, as new rims that will be following this year will be a better match with the new design. In addition, it is then also possible to take pictures in the winter months, which was absolutely unthinkable with the previous steel rims. And I directly took the opportunity because I got the offer to shoot in an empty warehouse at the Frankfurt Airport. I actually wanted to have pictures taken of myself too, but it was very cold even in the hall and I felt incredibly uncomfortable because of my hair.

🇩🇪 Pläne für 2021 - Für das neue Jahr gibt es einiges zu tun. Mein Auto soll endlich so werden wie ich es gerne haben möchte, ohne das mir jemand etwas vorschreibt, so wie es in der Vergangenheit des öfteren passiert ist. Zwar habe ich dadurch einiges an Geld investiert, das ich mir hätte sparen können, aber im Nachhinein ist man ja immer schlauer. Also machen wir es jetzt richtig! Das ist der bisherige Plan:

Neues Design / Neue Folie

Neue Sommerfelgen + Reifen

Neue Winterreifen besorgen und diese auf die alten Sommerfelgen ziehen

Unbedingt meine Bremse erneuern!

Kofferraumausbau ordentlich machen und die 3H-Steuerung verbauen

Diverse alte Autoteile verkaufen (diese findet ihr dann auf Ebay Kleinanzeigen)

Umbau der Abgasanlage und Montage des dazu passenden Heckdiffusors

Kleinere Reparaturen / Instandhaltung

🇺🇲 Plans for 2021 - There is a lot to do for the new year. My car should finally be the way I would like it to be, without someone telling me what to do, as has happened many times in the past. I have invested a lot of money that I could have saved, but in hindsight you are always smarter. So let's do it right now! That is the previous plan:

New design / New wrap

New rims for the summer + tires

Buying new wintertires and put them on my old rims for the summer

Definitely new brakes!

New trunk setup and changing to Airlift-3H

Selling old car parts

Modify the exhaust and buy the matching rear diffuser

Repair some small things

🇩🇪 Rückblick Saison 2020 - Naja, was soll man groß über die Saison 2020 sagen? Es ist eine Saison die nie richtig angefangen hat. Zwar gab es das ein oder andere Event wie zum Beispiel Legends Exclusive, die Tuningshow Sinsheim oder Wörthersee Reloaded, aber das meiste musste doch aufgrund von Covid-19 abgesagt werden. Dementsprechend ist es auch nicht schlimm, dass nahezu alles was ich dieses Jahr an meinem Auto gemacht habe, nirgendswo groß zu sehen war, da ich damit eh nicht sonderlich zufrieden bin. Die Krönung des Ganzen war dann natürlich der Unfall, der mich jetzt mehr oder weniger dazu zwingt für die nächste Saison was neues aus dem Hut zu zaubern. Aber das ist alles schon in Planung und bis ich damit anfangen kann ist auch hoffentlich das Geld von der Versicherung bei mir angekommen. Aber dieses Jahr gab es nicht nur Drama, sondern auch einige schöne Sachen, wie zum Beispiel das Fotoshooting/Videodreh für TiefenGrnd, mein neues Fahrwerk oder der Videodreh für Nullbar. Abgeschlossen habe ich das Jahr mit meiner Abschlussprüfung und kann mich nun ganz auf die Vorbereitung für die neue Saison konzentrieren. Ich wünsche allen einen guten Start in das neue Jahr und hoffe, dass langsam alles wieder so wird wie früher und es nicht noch ein verschwendetes Jahr wird.

🇺🇲 Review Season 2020 - Well, what can you say about the 2020 season? It's a season that never really started. Although there was one or the other event such as Legends Exclusive, the tuning show Sinsheim or Wörthersee Reloaded, most of it had to be canceled due to Covid-19. Accordingly, it doesn't matter that almost everything I did on my car this year was nowhere to be seen, because I'm not particularly satisfied with it anyway. The icing on the cake was of course the accident, which now more or less forces me to conjure up something new for the next season. But all of this is already being planned and by the time I can start, I will hopefully have received the insurance money. But this year there was not only drama, but also some nice things, such as the photo shoot / video shoot for TiefenGrnd, my new kntrl airride or the video shoot for Nullbar. I finished the year with my final exam and can now concentrate fully on preparing for the new season. I wish everyone a good start into the new year and hope that everything will slowly go back to the way it was before and that it won't be another wasted year.

🇩🇪 18 Nov 2020 - Nachdem mein Auto für den Winter gerüstet ist, wurde es Zeit meine Sommerreifen einzulagern. Also musste ich diese erst einmal sauber machen und anschließend einpacken. Die Trocknungszeit habe ich dafür genutzt um meinen Anbau aufzuräumen und zu sortieren.

🇩🇪 17 Nov 2020 - Mit dem Montieren der Winterreifen wird wohl oder übel das Saisonende eingeleitet. Mit frischem TÜV und allen Eintragungen bin ich nun bereit für den Winter. Ich bin gespannt wie dieser sein wird und vor allem bin ich gespannt wie meine Folie alles überstehen wird.

🇩🇪 16 Nov 2020 - Als ich am Wochenende wieder zu Hause ankam durfte ich zwei Briefe vorfinden. Das eine war das Gutachten, welches erstellt worden ist und das andere Post von der gegnerischen Versicherung. Beides habe ich nun mit zum heutigen Anwaltstermin genommen. Dort musste ich noch einmal genau erzählen was alles passiert war. Aber jetzt habe ich die Organisation der ganzen Sache abgegeben und kann mich voll und ganz auf das Lernen konzentrieren. Anschließend habe ich mein Auto in die Werkstatt gebracht, um endlich TÜV zu bekommen und damit da Fahrwerk eingetragen wird. Allerdings musste ich am selben Abend noch einmal in die Werkstatt fahren, um meine Winterreifen vorbei zu bringen. Das war alles unglaublich stressig, aber dann hatte ich erstmal alles erledigt.

🇺🇲 Nov 16th, 2020 - When I got home at the weekend I was able to find two letters. One was the report that was drawn up and the other was mail from the opposing insurance company. I have now taken both with me to today's legal appointment. There I had to tell again exactly what had happened. But now I've given up the organization of the whole thing and can fully concentrate on learning. Then I took my car to the workshop to finally get TÜV and the airride could be registered. However, I had to go to the workshop again that evening to bring my winter tires over. It was all incredibly stressful, but then I was done with everything.

🇩🇪 14 Nov 2020 - Da die Jungs beim Fahrwerkseinbau mit den Luftbälgen der Hinterachse so große Probleme hatten bin ich bis jetzt mit den Bälgen von TA-Technix gefahren. An diesem Wochenende haben wir uns dann die Zeit genommen um diese endlich zu tauschen, damit alles für die bevorstehende Eintragung passt. Dabei hatten wir wieder mal ein wenig Hilfe von einem Spezialisten, damit alles ordentlich gemacht ist.

🇺🇲 Nov 14th, 2020 - Since the guys had such big problems with the air bellows on the rear axle when installing the suspension, I have been using the bellows from TA-Technix until now. This weekend we took the time to finally swap them so that everything fits for the upcoming TÜV appointment. So once again we had a little help from a specialist to do everything correctly.

🇩🇪 13 Nov 2020 - Nachdem es wieder mal an der Zeit für neues Kameraequipment war musste dieses natürlich sofort ausprobiert werden. Mit einigen Startschwierigkeiten haben wir unser erstes Instagram Reel "in den heiligen Hallen" von @nullbar_air.and.static gedreht. Ich bin vom Ergebnis total begeistert und freue mich, wenn wir im nächsten Jahr noch mehr solcher Projekte vor uns haben.

🇺🇲 Nov 13th, 2020 - After it was time for new camera equipment, it had to be tried out immediately. With some initial difficulties we shot our first Instagram reel "in the hallowed halls" from @nullbar_air.and.static. I am absolutely thrilled with the result and look forward to more projects like this next year.
