The theme of today's class was "Releasing Expectations" My instructor Sydney explained a story she read. A man, who had been working hard towards his goals, finally made it to a place of accomplishment. But, once he got there he couldn't bask in the joy of success. Instead, he spent time picking at how it wasn't what he expected or how he expected it to happen. ___________________________________ Who can relate to the guy in the story? *looks around* 🙋🏾😬 I didn't realize it at first but after some self-reflection, I now see (with embarrassment) just how foolish that is. You waste time focusing on the wrong things. Yeah, it's good to plan and have an image of how reaching a goal looks but it's important to allot space for difference. Don't be so headstrong that you miss out on the blessing right in front of you because it's not presented how you think it should've.💭💭💭 ___________________________________ 😳😝Yay, I did it!
