Some Luca nonsense
it’s a shame more vampire media doesn’t pull from vampire bat behavior because they’re such sweeties. they can only survive their incredibly specialized diet because bats will share blood with colony members that didn’t find a meal! there’s evidence that suggests the donors sometimes initiate this behavior themselves by approaching hungry bats! the colonies are mostly harems of females with a few males but they’ve been observed letting unrelated males in when it gets cold so they can all stay warm! cute little social critters!
@yupekosi your tags have created such a beautiful world
Pose practice Luca. Remember to get up and stretch once in a while, fam.
The reference was a photo of Zhengyang Zhang by Nick Hudson.
Decided that I wanted to try a new style of drawing Luca. I wanted him to be cuter and more appealing than how I've been drawing him the last four years lol
So cute!!!
no one asked for this but anyway. i made some notes on how to make a likeness, in this case specifically tom hardy. if you care about drawing tom hardy. but there’s no law saying your eddie brock has to look like tom hardy, so don’t worry. like I said, this is also just stuff that can help you if you want to learn to draw someone specific.
Reposting this too

Hey everyone!! Did you perhaps enjoy Minor Acts of Heroism and it's humor? Did you like the Latinx, disaster queers, goths, dumbasses, and demons? Are you maybe older now and read adult books?
Well, my cocreator and dearest friend, @kvalentinwrites has published a book, available everywhere that books occur! Including audiobooks!
It's about a broke brujo possessed by a demon, who needs money for an exorcism. So he's going to remove a curse from a rich guy to get said exorcism. But the more he uses magic, the more demon-y he gets. Also his best friend is a gremlin woman, you have to see her, she's incredible.
✨Cool fits! Generational trauma! Demonic possession! Astral Projection! Cannibalism! Retail Worker Hell! Everyone Is Queer Here!✨
It's gory, funny, ~romantic~ and will suck you in! I've read it like 60 times through its creation and was always happy reading it.

A wannabe witch tries to break a curse on a clueless client in this laugh-out-loud debut, for fans of queer romantic fantasy by T. J. Klu
I think this poll will be slanted because ya'll are nerds with vast curiosity but:
Before reading this question, did you know the meaning/history/origin of your given name/family name/any other of your names?
Looked but found no info one or more
Never looked into it
Yes, found out meanings of all
Yes, but not all of my names
Some/all of my names are kind of made up/original
After harassing my coworkers, I found a lot of them don't know any of their name information, even like "nationality" level stuff. So I'm wondering if this is common or not. I'm also interested to know if, even if you do know the history of your, if you found most people around do or don't. I also wonder if not knowing has a universal ratio.
One interesting thing I've found in my own life is that if you were named from a baby book, guess what, no one checks those books for errors or just lies. They're there to sell books. I went most of my life thinking my name had one meaning ("dark and rich") and then finding out a few years ago that the meaning is something else, and perhaps the original meaning was lost completely. So if you're reading this, it might be a good idea to check up on your name and see if you find something different.
What. Is your name Cheese?!?!
I'm sorry @skchorpion I'm mega dumb and realized what your name obviously is and it is not Cheese.

@necromatador
*climbs on table*
BUT WHAT DOES THE X NAME MEAN?!? I got into this same hole because all definitions just said "it means son of X" then didn't tell me what X meant!!!

What. Is your name Cheese?!?!
@auriclesis
*hyperventilates* but it can mean fairy OR be a shortened version of Faith.....!!!!
What's also interesting is: what did your parents THINK they were naming you? So if your mom is a nerd (am I your mom??) I'm guessing she meant like Fae. Therefore, yeah, Fairy name. Or did she mean Faith? If other people think your name is related to Faith, is that your name, too?
My parents THOUGHT they were naming me "dark and rich", and I ALSO thought that was my name's meaning. Does that mean my name DID mean that because that was my parents' intent?

What. Is your name Cheese?!?!
I do not celebrate death on principle but I do find it interesting that Charlie Kirk died via the thing he advocated for. Like who’s writing this political novel we’re living in. The symbolism’s a bit heavy handed if you ask me.
He was basically pro school shooting and then got shot in a school. Like. I mean.
And he was debating someone about gun violence while it happened. 1940s sci-fi levels of heavy handedness.
He got shot while answering a question about the numbers of mass shootings in America, too. His last words were literally "gang violence"
I don’t believe in karma but if I did I’d say that’s a pretty good sign that he’s about to be reincarnated as a mosquito.
Also, his last post on Instagram had the quote "play certain games, win certain prizes". Like, who tf is writing this season?? Chekov's gun was not only shown, it was swung around with wild abandon surrounded by big flashing arrows pointing at it.
I keep thinking about how over-the-top, fallout-level, satire ass dystopian it would be to say "the richest man in the world uses a scantily clad anime girl to tell people to disseminate propaganda and to literally kill leftists".
I didn't know satire could just...stop existing.

Congrats to the World's Finest
Found this in my 2022 art folder. I remember hating this when I made it but it looks alright to me now. I was really depressed and stressed then, I wonder if that affected my view of it.
