Attention ALL artists!
You sure have seen this post. It has spread like wildfire over the past few days so I doubt there is any artist out there who hasnāt seen it. But even if you didnāt, you should read on because Iām about to tell you a handy little thing that can help you to protect your art from such assholes as the anon who submitted this bullcrap, as well as art thieves in general.
The magic word is Metadata.
Metadata is like an invisible signature that is embeded into a file. It can contain all kinds of information, like Title, date, keywords for online seach engines, and copyright information. And the best thing is, since this information is āhiddenā in the code of your picture, itās hard to remove it.
There is a nice basic tutorial on how to add Metadata, or āadditional file informationā to your images in photoshop. Itās really, really easy so check it out!
āAdding Your Contact And Copyright Info To Your Photos With Photoshopā on PhotoshopEssentials.com
Iām not sure if you can do the same with any other art program. If you know how to do this in other programs / can confirm that it works the same way there, please tell me so I can add the information to this post.
Adding the Metadata will not stop idiots from taking and reposting your art. It also wonāt make them stop editing out your signature. It WILL however, help you prove that you are the original artist whenever you have to. Always remember my friends. You, the artist, are protected by law. No one has the right to take your intellectual property and hard work and repost, use or edit it without your permission. Ever.
art thief: well how can you prove its yours??
me: /opens metadata
I spread the word as it is important to all artist who ever suffered from art thieving or so.
You guys, metadata is super important, you guys. In an everday and legal sense. People legitimately look at and rely on metadata to know the basic, but important bits of information about a digital product (paintings, photographs, exe files, etc.), ESPECIALLY the source.
Donāt underestimate it!

Have you ever wanted to express a vivid and lush landscape or environment? Landscape painting is one of the oldest and most cherished forms of art, and the worl...
I recently published my first course on Skillshare! Itās 33 lessons long and 2h 11min of landscape-painting goodness.
You have characters and worlds within you, figures and backgrounds. Weāre here today to cover the background part of it.
In this class, youāll be walked through the process of sketching, coloring, rendering, and lighting a digital landscape painting.Ā
Taught by professional artist Taylor Payton, the piece youāll see unfold was originally meant as a commission.
In this class, we cover:
Speedpaint sketching
Line drawing
Color and light
Shadows
Simple drawing
Composition techniques
Materials and textures
Brushwork and economy
Shape language and design
Mistake correction
Simplification methods
And more!
Not only will you learn the techniques and methods used to craft theĀ sketchy landscapes above, youāll even learn what it takes to finalize one.
The brush set for this project can be downloaded here:
Ā https://www.dropbox.com/s/ax3x18nqsou7dwn/LANDSCAPE_PACK.abr?dl=0
I have a goal to get 25 students, as this could really help me reach the front page of Skillshare and get even more students!
Please share this post with your other artist friends, and Iāll be able to spend more time creating lessons like this.
It takes about 6 hours to paint, 4 hours to edit and narrate, and another 2-3 to write all the descriptions for something like this. On average I spend close to 12 hours per tutorial.
If you say one more word, Iāll feed you to my children!

OCTOBER IS NEXT WEEK
OCTOBER IS THIS WEEK
OCTOBER IS TOMORROW
Going to get the ball rolling on this inktober challenge!! Made my own list so lets see if I can keep up!
For example Frederick Douglasā wife did so much for his ungrateful ass. She helped him get on his feet, gave him her last name, and supported him financially and took care of house and home. And in return was does this nigga do? He lets white abolitionists tear her down and treat her like a slave in HER HOUSE. Moved two bitches into HER HOUSE over a span of 20 years. Belittles her for being illiterate while using HER MONEY. Not even in death does she get the respect she deserves. His last wife is more recognized as being apart of his life than she was. Just trash. And y'all still normalize that shit as if itās a black womanās job to struggle. Fuck that.
Fuck Frederick Douglas.
That negro was a massive hypocrite. How the fuck you wanna abolish slavery and support womenās rights, then treat your own wife like shit?????????????????
^^^^ history left her out of his story too. Claiming his parents have him money to start up when it was her.
Donāt forget MLK and Malcolm X
My heart broke a little but Iām not surprised. What did Malcolm do ?
I donāt know about Malcolm X, but I know that Martin Luther King was in love with a white caferteria lady name Betty that he was seeing while he was attending college. The only reason why he married Coretta and not the cafeteria worker is because his dad frowned upon it. Not only that but his best friend Ralph Abernathy and Jackie Onassis exposed him for being a sex craved phony that loved cheating on Coretta. I guarantee that if black women from the civil rights era could talk now, our heads would explode.Ā
I mean if weāre gonna spill tea

Our community has always treated us like shit no matter what. Not to mention MissĀ Claudette Colvin who was the actually pioneer of the Civil Rights Movement. She was arrested for not giving up her seat on the bus 9 months before Rosa but she was a dark skinned single mother so she wasnāt good enough.Ā
Letās not forget Black Pantherās leader EldridgeĀ Cleaver and his famous bookĀ āSoul On Iceā where he recounts how he practiced raping black women because he knew no one would care and when he āmastered his craftā he starting raping white women. Also letās never forget that he said that there is no more love left between black women and men and that everytime he embraces a black woman, he embraces slavery. Yāall gonā get this history lesson today!
Wow⦠and somehow Iām not even surprised.
I knew all of that. Martin was constantly cheating with white prostitutes even a German exchange student while protesting civil right. Cleaver was the worst. Preying on and raping young black girls in the hood as practice for raping white women. Claudette is still referenced as āthe other rosa parksā when the light bright brigade āNAACPā werenāt gonna let her share her story to begin with.
Let this post never die. Black women were NEVER respected back in the day, and weāre STILL getting disrespected every minute.
Wowā¦.
[reasons why I think most Black dudes r performative when it comes to being *proBlack* n only know how to mirror yt ally theater/chase yt validation. n nonBlack ppl better back the fuck off this post and start combatting the antiBlackness before they even think of comment.]
Just a reminder that Claudette Colvin didnāt get pregnant until 3 months after refusing her seat on the bus. She was a poor dark skinned girl. In her words āthey wanted someone PEOPLE would sympathize with and I didnāt look like that.ā Colorism AND Classism waaaay before Instagram š

We can take it a step further and talk about the ancient betrayal from the Moors and how they basically bred themselves out because they couldnāt stop procreating with European women. Here are some historical paintings by a couple of French artists who documented a lot of the black manās *ahem* fixation for white women while the darkskined women were left to be the slaves that took care of the white concubines in the harem. Black women even had to teach them how to bathe
One of these days, black women are going to get real tired of being lied to and lied on. On that day, black women are going to start doing the research as to what really happen. They will soon realize that theyāve been fighting for people who never fought for them.Ā

This post is so depressing but it need to be seen by EVERYONE so y'all never forget or try to sweep it under the rug
Smh i was waiting for this shit to hit the fan. This shit happens. People never ever ever ever , black people, wanna admit that their hero STILL had faultsā¦but whats ironic is these are the same men who speak with so much influence and pride in who they are. These the same ones we hold so high in our cultureā¦men that stood for black empowerment and change, yet that meant leaving us on the back burner. That mean still subconsciously despising black women and taking on that frail white male superiority complex allowed by society for so many years. Alot of those men wanted to be along the same power levels as white men if not damn near be white. So that ultimately means you still view yourself as a product of America, waiting for acceptance by whites.
now we see these industry clowns doing the same shit. Step all over black women just to get a few head nods from everyone and elite whites. One of the main reasons I chose not to watch movies like Straight Outta Compton or Get On Up is because i KNEW they were gonna give us the watered down versions of men like James Brown or Dr. Dre who really had issues and chose to abuse women (specifically black women). They dont show certain sides of these men.
Its upsetting because ashy ankh niggas will pull up all these dumb dr. Umar receipts about womanism and black feminism being invalid and how it was a ploy to lure us into fighting for white women. Like someone created it to divide us from black men when as far as im concerned its been BLACK MEN who created their bed of thorns to lie in. Even if you look at how black women began to branch away from the black panthers, this all stems from the fact that alot of black men still hold those phony white patriarchal standards as truth when it comes to women and were pushing black women to the side when it came time to speak up on black issues. Fuck everything else white man say but they find common ground in the mistreatment of black women. Were disposable to them.
You dont get to choose which black you stand for, especially if that black is the reason you have a fucking life.
