“You got the wrong guy!” Haha grabbed the closest thing he could find, an old pipe that laid against the alley dumpster, raising it towards the younger man. “Yah! don’t you know your hits by face! come any closer and I’ll smack you!” He was bluffing of course, he knew the bounty hunter was a lot stronger them him, but that didn’t stop the street rat to talk a big game. “Man…don’t you ever get tired? I ran around the whole district to wear you out, for crying out loud!”

Jongin finally had the guy cornered in an alley, after a long chase throughout the city. See, Jongin did not enjoy running at all, despite it being a crucial part of his job. He crossed his arms and leaned against the cold brick wall before reaching into his pocket for a cigarette. The cigarette hung low in between his lips as he lit it, inhaling slowly. “Let’s make a deal, yeah?” he said in defeat as he exhaled. “We won’t have to run around anymore if you just come with me,” he continued before taking another drag. “I start losing my temper if I get tired, so it’s your choice, man.” With that and a slight shrug, Jongin crossed his arms again with the cigarette hanging from his lips. 

“Why should I go with you? I have done nothing wrong!” He shouted in anger at him, still keeping a good bit of distance between them so if he tried anything, he would have a good running start, and by the looks of the guy he wasn’t much of a runner. Psh, some bounty hunter he was. “Look, you cant just kidnap me without telling me why! I am not letting some bounty hunter come near me for no reason!”

Haha jerked awake when the sirens of a police cruiser drove by, wiping the slobber on his cheek with his sleeve before rubbing his sleepy eyes to adjust to the setting of the evening light . “ahhh~” He yawned loudly, only to be cut off when someone placed a “We are here for the hopeless” Charity brochure into his lap. the small rectangle of parchment had been given to him many times that week that he could have had a collection by now, but each time he threw it away.

Haha’s lips moved inward as he shook his head before looking up at the person who gave it to him. “This is nice but I’m Homeless…not hopeless”

“Ive never known real happiness...but I’m not depressed so...I guess I am a little bit?” He chuckled. “I don’t know, im a homeless man just trying to survive in a harsh city..its hard to explain”

“why would I focus on something that only makes me sad to think about?” He replied in a snap, only to take a breath and calm himself so he wouldnt seem like a rude person. “Sorry..its just I rather not talk about the past...its not good to keep looking back you know? You gotta keep looking forward.”

“Which is money…” Dong Hoon pointed to the man. “I can tell..look at you..you are wearing a suit that looks like he was made by the royal tailor–”

“Not really, I get hurt all the time.” Dong Hoon glanced down on the ground and picked up some abandoned change that probably feel out of a person’s pocket. “I have gotten use to it by now, even a punch to the face doesn’t phase me these days..”

the day had started out pretty rubbish, if he was being honest. youngjae was still recovering from the late night he had drinking. he had woken up around noon with a pounding headache and nothing in the fridge to eat. somehow he managed to drag himself from his run down apartment, money still in his pocket from the payment for the work he had done the previous afternoon. to be fair, he wasn’t really with it, dragging his feet a long the ground a little as he walked towards the closest store to get something to snack on. 

he ruffled up his hair under the hood of his plain black jumper, grumbling just a little to himself as he noticed the dark clouds overhead signalling that it was probably about to start pissing it down with rain sometime soon. 

youngjae wasn’t really paying much attention to where he was going, so it did come as a bit of a surprise when he almost tripped right over someone. “aish, watch out,” he snapped, stopping for a moment to glare at whoever it was, but as recognize the face he couldn’t even manage a glare. instead, he was stunned for a moment, mouth hanging slightly open as he was now staring at the last person he thought he would bump into again. “haha?” he couldn’t believe this, he hadn’t seen him since in around thirteen years, back when he was still just a snivelling kid, so he really doubted that the man was going to recognize him now. 

It took only a moment for memories finally surfacing and recognition finally hitting him like bricks when he had noticed certain features of the man to be related to a boy he had once known. It couldnt have been....he was sure that that boy was long gone and mostly like never coming back...but there he was right in front of him, all grown up.

“Y-youngjae?” He moved closer to get a better look at him, rubbing the inner lenses of his glasses. “Wow....you have gotten so....tall..” He looked at him in awe and shock, taking a step back as worry for his own sanity came to him.  Was he dreaming? did he get drugged again? There was no way that this kid was still alive....right?

“I thought you were dead...or taken..” He took in the others appearance and tried to think of what had happened to the boy. “Last time I saw you...you went out looking for food..” He hummed softly. “You got picked up didn’t you?”

Rain was a Villain to Dong Hoon, especially on days when he was too far away from his normal place of stay and had to find a good shelter quickly before he was drenched and soaked to the bone. He decided he would have to find himself something to keep him dry before the first raindrop had fallen, searching every alley for something he could put over his head. He had almost given up until the sight of a broken umbrella that laid underneath an old bench called out to him. He could use it, all it needed was to be fixed, he could do that!

“The gods are looking down on you today Dong Hoon..” He bowed to the sky to thank them and bent over to grab the umbrella. It was rare for luck to be on his side when it came to small things like this, his luck always hiding unless it was a life or death situation, which he was always grateful for when it did. He would have to do a good deed later to win more brownie points with the gods.

“Ah--” Dong Hoon jerked up when he was ran over by a stranger, standing up with the umbrella in his hand and ready to fight with whoever it was. “Yah! watch were you are going! cant you see a person on the ground!?” He brushed himself off then blinked in confusion when the younger man seemed to have known him. “Um...” He scanned his features trying to recognize him but he couldn’t. “Do I know you, kid?”

“I was just taking a nap...” Haha pouted at the librarian, pleading for them not to call the cops on him. He had been running around all day and just needed a quiet place to sleep for a moment. the library hadn’t been crowded and it was easy to find a nice corner in the quiet to rest your eyes. However, Haha was homeless and with that living situation came with clothes that weren't so clean and to most people who were not caring, kind or understanding...it offended them whenever they saw someone like him around. The library was a nice place, he didn’t belong. “I wasn’t hurting anyone...I was just staying in the corner..its not my fault people look at me and dont want to be around me..they should leave not me..” He humbled that last part but sighed and got up. “Fine..I’ll go..”

“Listen here pretty boy!” Haha wasn’t a person to make trouble, he wouldn’t classify himself as a troublemaker, but unfortunately trouble followed him like pollen on a honey bee. That morning he had just planned on doing a simple job of delivering a package from point A to point B in exchange for money to buy breakfast and lunch later, nothing too troublesome.....until he had a member of the law on his back. “I have nothing to do with the package! I am just moving it! I gotta make a living you know! I gotta eat!”

“Why are you dragging me along?” Haha kicked at the gravel in anger, not happy that he was being forced to perform another tasks by another gang. “You are their lackey, not me...I’m just the guy that everyone likes to torture!” He huffed and puffed as he tried to calm down. “Yah, why are you their runner huh? You are basically like me anyways, what makes them so great that you align yourself with them...did they threaten your life?” He paused then snapped his fingers “What if I threaten your life? will you let me leave then? You are just a kid I could easily out do you!” He held up his fists. “Lets do this!”
