I meant to finish this edit and color for Shinra’s bday a week ago, but I couldn’t finish it in time thanks to the other crap I did to celebrate the fake birth of my fictional love. ahahaha. In light of that I put some extra heart into it~! ♡ ( ` ∇ ´ ) ♡

If it’s for the sake of my love for you, no matter how horrific, I’m confident that I can be as evil as necessary. Don’t use love as an excuse? C’mon, don’t be like that. The emotion of love is completely unrelated to good and evil. Anyway, you often hear the phrase such and such of love and good, but you never hear about the such and such of love and evil. The villain with love deeper than the ocean.How many of those people exist, do you suppose? If you narrowed the target down to you, I suppose it would be me.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I find it kind of tragic that one of the few things that Izaya regrets is how his sisters turned out and you can argue that the fault isn’t just Izaya’s.

Yes, it was because of Izaya and what he said to them that made the twins the way they are but the biggest fault on that falls on his parents for letting their teenage son raise two little kids in the first place (and considering it’s always describe as Izaya raising them, I gather that their parents weren’t around enough to make much of an impact on any of them). That burden should have been placed on the parents, not their son, but the fact that it was placed on Izaya is messed up.

The Oriharas may have provided for their childrens physical needs and may have been kind to their kids but they’re still pretty bad parents if you ask me. Emotional neglect is still neglect after all and leaving them alone enough that Izaya is described as raising the twins makes me believe that they did emotionally neglect them.

(P.S I don’t think this excuses any of their behaviour but it does provide us a little perspective on how the children turned out as messed up as they did.)
