adhd is so funny cus like i could watch an entire movie without watching an entire movie
A question to other ADHD folks that dream of being a mom.
Do you ever doubt? I plan to be a single mom. I've wanted to be a parent for as long as I can remember. But moving out and living on my own has exposed challenges that I never considered before.
Do you ever think you can't be a mom bc of your adhd? Or that maybe a kid would deserve better? Don't get me wrong, I would love the kid. No matter what. But would I end up missing parent teacher conferences? Be unable to help with homework? Will they be frustrated at their mom forgetting things that are important to them? Forget to pack their bathing suit or do laundry on time? Or would it help me create a structure? And is that a bad thing, depending on a kid to create that?
Should I give up the one thing I've wanted since forever?
Has anyone ever thought about those things?
