Hello! Here is a walk through of my fics and art and whatever I think might be relevant.

Disclaimer!

I am Scandinavian.

But Gold why is that relevant?

So where I'm from sex is casual and at least where I grew up it's not uncommon to sit in a guy friends lap, if both parties are single. I also don't do big love confessions in my fics.

I personally think my writing style can be a bit dry at least when I compare myself to our other wonderful fic writers in the community.

And I have a tendency to get a bit sad in my writing.

If I am actively traumatizing them by having them in a complicated relationship I do it because I love them.

I love feedback! Off course please be respectful! But I don't mind going back into a fic and changing things up a little. If I think that the changes make sense, but in the end I do have final say of what I write, but people are smart and I am not always so. For the most part I think it's a win-win.

And lastly I'm dyslexic AF, so spelling errors do occur. I try my best, sending me a message about a mistake is always welcome!

Collage fic/roommate fic This fic is my struggle baby, it is my first modern fic and here I am still trying to close it. I want into it having a completely different plan than it currently is. This is also the fic that made me realize that I like working on multiple things at once and sometimes it's better to not post the second you have finished a chapter, but wait until you have a draft and at least 75% written. link on AO3

Light switch (working title)

College fic! No surprise here, I said in an ask that I like collage fics because in a way its forced proximity. and that sure is true here. WIP's on that here, here and here. and art here.

(no working title) High school then reunion in College fic

This one is sad. I'm not going to lie, its dual POV. Katniss and Peeta have the perfect relationship untill a traumatic event separates them. Only to be reunited what everything has changed. WIP here

Super hero sidekick fic

Katniss struggles with being a teen and hed budding attraction the her team mate who just happeneds to be a clone of the hero that saved her as a child. Born sexy yesterday Peeta. What more can I say. This one is just silly but I'm really exited about it. WIP here

Band!AU

Becoming famous isn't for the feint of heart and being the lead singer of a band whose career just got shot into super stardom has Katniss struggling both with her boyfriend and her budding relationship with band mate Peeta Mellark. I'm playing with social media quite a bit here as some kind of self voyeurism. Art here no WIPs posted yet

Prepping the Birthday Threesome

Started as a one shot, its fun, not very sad. I like it! I will go back and give it a "face lift" eventually. I wrote some parts of this very fast and I just think it currently lacks ✨texture✨ After I add the ✨texture✨ I'm also posting an epilog. The epilog is just smut, so don't get too exited. Oh, and its about Katniss boyfriend Gale, wanting to have a threesome on his birthday and how that kind of ends up being the end of that relationship. on AO3 here

WIP Wednesday

Back and forth, so I'm back at roommates. I'm almost done with what I was planning on writing, too bad for me the ideas just keep on coming and I think I might have to do more. What I thought was the end is forming into a very "to be continued shape" I'm realizing I'm bad at making a satisfying end. I think I need to make the stories "have more" to be able to close thing and therefore feel like a story is closing...Does that make sense?

On the way home, they walk hand in hand. She’s switched from her heels to sneakers. “So, are the rumors true? Am I your boyfriend?”  She bites her lip, “I have no clue what you’re talking about.” “No?” He asks, his dimple flashing under a streetlight. She stops, but keeps a hold of his hand, forcing him to turn and look at her. She leans up to kiss him, his mouth warm in contrast to the cool fall air. His arms falling around her waist. Pulling her in close. They hadn’t kissed in public in over a year. This is all she can give him, for now.  “I should come to more of your work events,” Peeta murmurs into her mouth. Welcoming her tongue when she offers it. She drags in along the back of his teeth before breaking apart.  “You were very popular,” she admits, correcting his suit jacket slightly.  “Yeah, but only because they’re so curious about you,” She scoffs. “I’m an open book. People always seem to know what I think and feel before me,” “I don’t know, you've kept this boyfriend of yours pretty under raps,” She chuckles. “Have I now?” He’s cleaned up nicely, his hair pushed back, and dressed in  dark navy.  Peeta just shrugs.

There's something so meaningful about Katniss associating Peeta with dandelions, especially when you take into account the way Peeta is viewed by others throughout the trilogy and dandelions are viewed in real life.

Dandelions are considered by many people to be weeds. They're not toxic, but they're eyesores in any perfect garden or lawn; they spread fast due to the way they seed, so they're considered invasive; their one use—attracting pollenators—is negated by the fact that their pollen is low in nutrients.

In other words, they're useless. They're pests.

Peeta throughout canon is treated similarly. It's a repeated theme that he is always brushed aside and disregarded in some way, second best to someone or something else. He's the third son. His mother deems him inadequate, he loses to his brother in wrestling, his father always wanted a daughter. Haymitch saves Katniss over him in the first games, the rebellion saves Katniss over him in the Quell. Peeta, in the eyes of others, inculding himself, has very little value. It's partially why in Catching Fire he says on the beach, "Nobody needs me."

And yet, we see how Katniss views dandelions, just as she views Peeta. To Katniss, dandelions are a sign of spring, the first bit of food bees get after winter, a sign of cultivation and new life on the horizon. They mean being sustained, for every bit of a dandelion is edible. They represent hope. To Katniss, dandelions are beautiful.

Peeta is her dandelion. He takes a beating to feed her when she's starving. The bread he gives her is enough to keep her alive for when spring comes, and she can forage in the woods. At her lowest, most cynical, and most suicidal, Peeta returns to her and plants a garden outside her window so that she can mourn in peace, and bakes her bread for breakfast the next morning so that she can eat. So she can live.

There is so much in the text that shows us how valuable Katniss finds Peeta. To her, Peeta is incredibly kind, talented, and intelligent. He's a wordsmith. He's her hope. He's beautiful.

But I think it's best expressed in Catching Fire, in response to Peeta's assessment of his worth: "It's true his family doesn't need him. They will mourn him, as will a handful of friends. But they will get on. Even Haymitch, with the help of a lot of white liquor, will get on. I realize only one person will be damaged beyond repair if Peeta dies. Me.

'I do,' I say. 'I need you.'"

To Katniss, Peeta is everything but a weed.

my favourite thing is when someone isn't into a piece of media but are talking about the characters for some reason, and instead of saying the character's name they say the name of a ship that the character is a part of thinking that it's their name

eg. "craig and creek" (instead of craig and tweek), "will bylers," "katniss everlark," etc etc. i find it so funny

Whow, what a question. Also love whatever your blog is, guy. Very fun. I love the word melancholy alot but that is more an abstract like, but id say in reality that my favorite word is despite.

I like that it makes me able to cram a contradiction into a sentence so easily.

A few days after that, Katniss showed up with an old basket filled with goose eggs. “Not to eat, to hatch. I raided a few different nests, so they can breed all right.” Never mind that we had roast goose for dinner.

i can’t explain why but this one singular line my girl has here in this new book in 2025 tells us (or i supposed confirms to us) a very important detail about katniss.

she’s super awkward at giving gifts 😭. like why is she giving that one person who will remember your birthday after you told them once six months ago but will either just shove the present at you and run the other direction or stand there and look around like they’re being held at gunpoint.

At the hospital room door, I watch Johanna for a moment, realize that most of her ferocity is in her abrasive attitude. Stripped of that, as she is now, there’s only a slight young woman, her wide-set eyes fighting to stay awake against the power of the drugs. Terrified of what sleep will bring. I cross to her and hold out the bundle.

“What’s that?” she says hoarsely. Damp edges of her hair form little spikes over her forehead.

“I made it for you. Something to put in your drawer.” I place it in her hands. “Smell it.”

She lifts the bundle to her nose and takes a tentative sniff. “Smells like home.” Tears flood her eyes.

“That’s what I was hoping. You being from Seven and all,” I say. “Remember when we met? You were a tree. Well, briefly.”

Some writing advice I will never give up:

Your characters are allowed to be bad people. Your story is allowed to have no moral lesson.yyour ending is allowed to be sad. The villain can win. The good person can do something unforgivable. The lovers can destroy each other. You are allowed to write the thing that no one asked for and everything that everyone told you doesn’t work and you are allowed to not explain yourself.

It’s your story. Burn it down if you want to.
