Net Neutrality and Content Creators

Everyone has been talking about this issue, but the ones you hear screaming loudest about it are no doubt us artists, writers, an content creators who make our livings on the Internet.

Our way of life is being threatened directly right now, and although everyone is suffering because of the threat of the FCC, we are the ones that will get hit hardest. There is a potential of losing EVERYTHING. Patreon has already made statements saying at least 50,000 creators will be affected on their website alone. Exposure will be gashed, money will be gashed, and we are screaming at people like the government and the FCC who just don’t seem to care.

As well as calling Congress, using RESISTBOT (text RESIST to 50409 to fax your state’s officials directly) and filling the FCC’s email with complaints, you can also take a second to tell your favorite content creators that you will continue to support them in any way you can, whether that be Patreon, commissions, Ko-Fi, or seeking them out on other platforms where possible.

I have a bad, bad feeling for us. I think a lot of us are going to suffer a lot, or disappear altogether. And so many of us worked so hard to establish ourselves.

Just take a sec and let your resident artists and writers know you’ll do what you can for them. We are all terrified.

Testing out marker paper with a super quick doodle! Paper is pretty thin, but I feel like it lays down colors better. I had been using Bristol smooth beforehand and it would bleed/feather out so much.
