hiii. doing a little sale!! sketch commissions are starting at $25usd(usually $40usd) so that i can buy cat food and keep some money in hand for helping my girlfriend move states in the next few weeks ! we are bith disabled and can use absolutely any help we can get 💚

prices are usually per figure, but right now each additional figure is +50%, and there is an extra 5 dollats for rendering the sketch out like on pic #3. coloring also an option

ill draw pretty much anything and while i have a queue for my larger paintings going atm, the first 3 slots of these will have a guaranteed turnaround within the week ^_^

I think those who would argue del'fi's handling of transfems in his comic is not reflective on his own personal views because he is working from prompts are simply not worth taking seriously, especially when they also claim that his comic is solely about him and how he feels about himself. Aside from the obvious contradiction present in those two claims, there is also the simple fact that he chose the prompts he worked off of, and he chose how to fulfill those prompts. One of them even appears to have been edited by him, which just so happened to be the one that he turned into an excuse to put a buffalo bill tier caricature into his comic.

To say that it cannot be transmisogyny, that it must be that there simply were no interesting prompts for kanaya (seemingly a scorch-mark on the ground) or jade (literally completely absent), that the crossdressing serial killer trope was actually exclusively about race-faking, is just kind of closing your eyes to what this might say about him because you don't want to consider it.

"Nymph" Gamzee: Reject your role as the living weapon

As far as I know, the original prompt submitted did not have the quote marks around nymph, and the way it is phrased suggests as much imo, as it looks to have been written by someone who is a fan of gamzee. The addition of the quote marks, in addition to the way that gamzee is not only obviously not a nymph, but that his disguise appears to be crafted from a dead nymph that, knowing the character, he is implied to have killed, is where the transmisogyny lies. (I mean it's kind of everywhere there but like, ygm)

To be clear, I do also believe that del'fi intends this as racefaking joke, and that out of universe it is a reference to the idea that gamzee is a white juggalo appropriating black culture, however I don't think it was exclusively intended as this out of universe (at least I hope the transmisogyny angle was considered when this was written), and I find it very much worth pointing out that whether or not gamzee had been originally intended as a sort of culture vulture character, in the epilogues (and necessarily in hs^2 following), gamzee was textually a racialized figure (evoking the idea of an uncle tom) whose relative position of power still did not protect him from being disposed of as simply another troll when Jane tired of him.

usual spiel- i am a multiply disabled bed/housebound nonbinary artist surviving solely on what i make through commissions. i'm barely scraping by most months talking care of myself and my cats (one of which is medically complex and requires an expensive medicated food)

additionally, i'm trying to aid my also disabled girlfriend in moving to my state where she will have easier access to medical services and affordable/wheelchair accessible housing. i've got a short queue i'm working on right now, but i could very much use any additional work this pride month

DISABILITYSTUCK ZINE APPLICATIONS OPEN

hello gamzheads and others !!! with disability pride month coming up i have been inspired to host a zine centered around disabled characters & headcanons . it wont be out by july but its the thought that counts .

applications are open for both artists & writers , and will be open for 2-4 weeks , depending on how much traction this gets ! any given entrant is allowed to do 1-3 pieces , with any amount of characters . pieces should place a focus on a characters disability + how it affects them , but you can work this into your piece in any way you see fit , it can be as mundane or high energy as you want . details on sizing + composition to fit into a zine format will be given once everyone has been accepted in .

you do not have to have the disability you are portraying in order to be a part of the zine , but i will be making sure plenty of resources are available to make sure all portrayals are fair and accurate . for similar reasons , i will also be favoring a diverse array of disability , though this ideally wont make much of a difference in who gets picked .
