Truly Feel Good is a place where short stories about life, love, happiness, gratitude and general mindfulness are shared. Currently, I'm traveling the world. Meeting many people, getting acquainted with different cultures and points of views, learning many new things and seeing the most gorgeous locations. All of this inspires me. When I get inspired, I write, take pictures and make videos Basically 'cause I just love doing this and by sharing my experiences with you, I hope to inspire you with the life lessons that I'm learning and have learned along the way.

The first song I wrote while playing the Ukelele :) ***A challenge to all you musicians out there!*** Seeing that I'm still learning how to play the Uke well and to sing while playing (that's freaking hard!!!) - the strumming pattern turned out quite boring. I'd love to hear your input and see you either post a video singing my song or a comment with an interesting strumming pattern I could use. Light shines through. Once again I've realized how easy it is to be hard on yourself. I am my own enemy. If I would have an actual dialogue with myself as a different person yet doing to myself what I am really good at doing, it would be a very silly conversation. I would ask myself "Who are you fighting?" and I in return would have to answer honestly and possibly a bit shameful "Myself!" I would frown my brows and ask "Why?" And I would be right...there's no point cause everyone loses- yet it is the easiest thing to do. As I am floating in the salty water looking up at the few stars that brighten up the evening sky. I completely surrender to the weightlessness of it all. Every worry in my brain seems to subside and makes place for a peaceful silence. All I can focus on is that one bright star winking at me as if she's saying "I see you, it's okay"...and it is okay! Let it wash all over you. " Thank god we didn't take bikes down here! Can you imagine having to drag them up this hill???" It's (of course) the hottest moment of the day. For some reason we tend to pick these moments to do some heavy lifting. ☺️It's okay...Buddha knows, I can use the exercise☺️With a face that looks as shiny as a bright red tomato we continue up the mountain pass. The cute couple that we saw coming from the bushes earlier is still walking in front of us. The girl glances over her shoulder and giggles. It's as if they are waiting for us. So we decide to climb the mountain in between the pass just like they are. This is so much more fun!!! I love climbing and so do Soof and Philo it seems 😄 the heat is quite intense though so we're hoping that the last climb up is really the last one...we follow the, what we call, 'Myanmar locals' up through the bushes. " they're locals, they seem to know the shortcuts". We follow them like sheep in a herd. It's pitch black and so incredibly quiet in this usually bustling city. I think back to yesterday, where I was attacked by umbrellas and rats, and what not as every one was trying to avoid getting rained on. This morning it seems like a whole new world. Understandable, as it is 3:30 in the morning- Last night I didn't get to photograph this enormous golden pagoda, the #schwedagon, cause rain was pouring down causing a stream resembling one that you find in hot tubs. Today is a new day. The sun peeks through the golden tops - saying 'Hi' - Good morning sun! Realization. Take a beat....take another one.... Realization. It usually comes at a price. One that is mainly prepaid by those around you. Known and unknown. When the dust settles, and the ramifications have become clear. That is when we realize and it brings about fear. Fear of loss. Lost time. Lost people. Loss of doing things we enjoy with the people we love the most. Therefore, take a beat once in a while and realize what you have...what you hold. Live life. It only takes a reminder to breathe, a moment to be still, and just like that, something in me settles, softens, makes space for imperfection. The harsh voice of judgement drops to a whisper, and I remember again that life isn't a relay race; that we will all cross the finish line; that waking up to life is what we were born for. As many times as I forget, catch myself charging forward without even knowing where I'm going, that many times I can make the choice to stop, to breathe, and be, and walk slowly into the mystery 💞 Nu- one of our yoga teachers at #hariharihariraya read this poem to us and it resonated with me so much! A semi shadow cast over her face, yet gleaming and serene. I understand her mixed emotions as the white temple in Chiang Rai with its very vivid images, which I can only imagine are meant to shock, is an interesting one to say the least. Jin and yang. Showing both sides. Buddha on top of it all and the most bizarre thing was that Superman, Pokémon , Jack from Pirates of the Caribbean and many other seemingly out of place figures are present; displayed on the back wall below Buddha. The way I interpret that wall is that light conquers all. The good will always shine through the darkness. The sound of silence. The slow rocking of the tiny wooden cabin floating on the lake wakes me up. I hear the squeaking of the wooden panels of the boardwalk in front of our cabin. 'Must be David' I think to myself, and turn around to enjoy the sounds of the jungle waking up around us. 'He did say he was going to hop in a kayak at sunrise' It's so peaceful and quiet here. Secluded from society, no phones, no internet, no nothing - just us and nature. ❤️ed it!
