This interesting vest was used for both the film and television versions of 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒑𝒆𝒔! It was first worn by actor Maurice Evans as Dr. Zaius for 1968’s 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒑𝒆𝒔, as well as 1970’s 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒑𝒆𝒔. The character Dr. Zaius , or just “Zaius” would use the costume again, this time played by the actor Booth Colman in the 1974 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒑𝒆𝒔 television series.
