Hiya, thanks for stopping by! I'm Mook, (either pronounciation is fine 🙂), or if you prefer my actual name, Rodin. Mainly made this account as a safe heaven in the case of twitter's inevitable fallout, so I'm still a little unsure how active this account will be.

As for what I do, all that pretty much happens is simply drift from one hyperfixation to the next, so that might be how you've found me!

I'm a competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee player, and know far too much stats and tournament history about the community, yet am always willing to learn more.

Am also a mediocre on-again off-again Bass Guitar player.

Otherwise, I just try my best to get by every single day, and hopefully make some friends and enjoy some new experiences along the way!

if the world as a whole is going to insist that everybody Has To Have A Job, then the barrier for entry to A Job should be fucking nothing. you should show up at the job center and they go "oh, you need a job and you don't care what it's in? OK, here you go. you start on wednesday."

i don't want a career. i don't even want to work. i shouldn't have to throw my entire fucking life away just to eat and have a roof to sleep under. working most of the time i'm awake for 5 days only to have 48 hours to myself is not fucking ok and i don't think anyone should do it, let alone be forced to!

but no only is the barrier to employment INSANELY HIGH, we keep making it fucking higher!!!! what the fuck do you mean i have to have every single qualification and experience listed, AND i have to write a completely original and compelling persuasive essay for EVERY job, now i need to make a new fucking resume EVERY TIME, AND network, both over job-related social media AND in real life??????? AND i have to be not only proficient, but an expert in this weird jargony super secret Konami business job code language that no one ever taught me or explained and that just kind of popped up out of nowhere?????????????????? AND i have to have a "personal brand"???????? as an employee of no one?????????????????????????????????????????????????

You know people are a lot weirder about aros in general than they are about asexuals in general and as a slut I've noticed that.

Like there's a general perception that Aromantic Allosexuals just want sex (derogatory) and then people carry all the baggage of nymphomaniacs (no offense nymphos I love you) or men who objectify their partners over onto those people based on which binary gender the aroallo is closest to and it's like actually I'm pretty sure the lack of romantic attraction doesn't preclude a person from wanting friends. I know for a fact that divorcing sexual attraction from romantic attraction doesn't make you more promiscuous.

Like I am pretty promiscuous I have sex at least once a month and I've pursued romantic connection only about three or four times in my entire life. I know what you're thinking and I want to know why you think that makes me shallow. I am very curious why a man who has sex but doesn't date is seen as predatory. The demonization of male sexuality is tied up in the patriarchy, when will we stop taking the excuses that predators make for themselves are accurate? I'm very curious why a woman who has sex but doesn't date is seen as not valuing herself. Do you think denying yourself pleasure incurs moral superiority? What are you, some kind of fucking Christian?

But most of all I think I'm curious as to why you view sex as selfish? Like there's 7 or 8 billion people out there theres gotta be an aromantic stone top. Sex takes two or more, preferably more, to tango. Just because someone isn't doing it as part of expressing love for the other person doesn't make it a selfish act.
