k,so I busted out my cards bc they got the meanings wrote on them and uhhh it's long as hell,so I put some of it under the cut. Disclaimer,I'm still kinda new to tarot,so I am combining what it says on the card with what we know about Gambit.
spread number 1:
- 3 of pentacles means Cooperation and teamwork.
- The Lovers is about taking action in your life,but it can also be about literal romance. But like,the main theme of the card is "making choices"
-ace of pentacles is about working hard and then being prosperous/having power from the work that you did.
So,rather than this being a standard past-present-future spread,I think it's just overall meant to describe his time as an x-man.
-two of wands means "justice. Boldness. Dominion. Decisions." so I must confess,I have no idea what that means in this particular context. Reversed tho,it's about something being unrealistic or about withdrawing from something. obviously the card on screen WASN'T in reverse,but still that seemed relevant.
-The Tower directly translates to a time of upheaval or facing adversity,so OP is pretty much got that right on the money and like...obviously Deathbit is gonna be some upheaval?? But also it can be a "reality check" card,if you've been living in an illusion,so that could be something too.
-five of wands "Selfishness,conflict, aggression".
So,if I were to interpret this,I'd say it's a prediction about his life as a horseman of apocalypse, that it will be chaotic and aggressive and big out of character for him.
Spread number 3: I must confess,I don't think it means anything. I think they're just going "Ooo death bc he's death, the tower bc everyone knows the tower is bad,lovers bc he's a yearner fr" which is fine,that's how a lot of art uses the major arcana. Buuut if it IS intended to use the cards' meaning ,THIS is the one I see as the past-present-future spread. Okay,so
-Death,in tarot,is actually about new beginnings,ending a cycle or making necessary changes.
-The Tower,as previously mentioned is about upheaval and a chaotic time in life
- The lovers are about making a choice.
Now,if I WERE to assume the cards mean anything and aren't just going off the pictures, I would say that Death is about Remy starting a new life with the xmen,but also about his rebirth as a horseman. The tower is about the chaos that he will cause in the lives of others,but maybe also the mental turmoil Apocalypse might put him through. And then the Lovers,if I had to guess, are him making a choice to either abandon apocalypse or to stay with him, or to return to being deceased. I could see any of the three happening,tbh.
but again,I am a amateur fr . This is just for funsies.
