Deep within the forgotten archives of a library, that exists between the folds of time, sits a storybook unlike any other. Its leather binding is weathered by centuries, yet its pages shimmer with a restless, iridescent glow. This is the Book of Twisted Tales.
It is said that the stories within are not merely ink and parchment, but living legacies waiting to be guided. As you brush the dust from its cover, the air grows thick with the scent of crushed rosebuds and wild honey, woven with the faint, sugary shimmer of stardust. The book falls open, and the ink begins to swirl, pulling you toward worlds unknown.

In the Twisted Tales Legacy Challenge, you are no longer just a player - you are the Weaver of Fate. Across ten generations, you will travel through mist-shrouded valleys, moonlit towns and sun-drenched islands, where the waves whisper secrets. Each generation marks a new chapter, a new world, and a classic tale reimagined through your Sims' eyes.
But beware - the "happily ever afters" of old are not guaranteed. These tales are twisted, shaped by your choices, your triumphs, and your tragedies. From the brave beginnings of a lone founder to the sprawling dynasty of a tenth-generation heir, the story is yours to write.
⟡˙⋆ The Rules of the Realm ⋆˙⟡
To ensure your story remains etched in the stars (and the library’s records), you must follow the path laid out before you:
The Twisted Curse: No story can be told in the same place twice. When the heir’s time comes, they must vanish like a dream at dawn, carrying nothing but their bloodline to a distant, untouched world. The shadows of the past must be left behind to bloom anew in unfamiliar soil.
The Weaver’s Will: Each generation is bound by specific goals and traits inspired by the world’s most iconic fairy tales and legends.
The Eternal Thread: While the scenery changes, the bloodline must never break. The flame of your family must burn bright for ten full generations to complete the book.
*You don’t have to follow the rules if you don’t want to. It is completely up to you! The main goal of this challenge is to have fun and play the game.
The quill is in your hand, and the first page is blank. The stories of these Sims are waiting to be transformed by your touch.

Generation One: The Once and Future Queen 👑🏹
Inspiration: The Legend of King Arthur
In a time when the sky was dark with the wings of great beasts and the crown was shattered by betrayal, you, a young princess, were spirited away. As your father’s castle fell to ruin, the court wizard, sensing a spark of ancient magic in you, whisked you across the shimmering mists to a hidden Fae island. There, among the eternal blossoms and mystical will-o'-the-wisps, you were raised in secret, your true identity shielded by enchantments.
But the blood of kings cannot be hidden forever. Now grown, and guided by the same wizard who once saved you, you have returned to the shores of Dragon Valley. You arrive with nothing but a humble cottage, a mysterious heritage, and a singular, burning purpose: to unite the fractured houses, tame the wild dragons of the valley and reclaim the throne that was stolen from your lineage.

Reach Level 10 of the Archery (Athletic) Skill;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
You must find, hatch, and bond with at least one Green Dragon (to help with your harvest) and one Red Dragon (to protect your homestead). Name one of the Dragons “Excalibur”;
Get married to a Sim who has the “Good” or “Brave” trait and have a Grand Wedding;
Host 5 "Legendary" parties to form your “Round Table”;
Have an affair and have a child with this Sim;
Have a dedicated "Throne Room" (or Great Hall) in your house for your court to gather.
Generation Two: Lady Thief 💰👀
Inspiration: The Legend of Robin Hood
Born to a queen but raised by the wind, you abandoned your mother’s royal halls when you saw the greedy elites of the mountains hoarding the land’s ancient magic for themselves. Slipping into the emerald shadows of Hidden Springs, you traded your velvet gowns for a horse and a hooded cloak, vowing to become a ghost that haunts the wealthy and feeds the forgotten. Now, as the "Lady Thief", you lead a band of rebels from a secret woodland sanctuary, rewriting the laws of the realm one stolen treasure at a time. The mists of Hidden Springs are thick, and the enemy is close behind…

Lifetime Wish: Become a Master Thief
Career: Criminal (Thief Branch - Roleplayed as a Rebel/Vigilante)
Reach Level 10 of the Riding Skill;
Reach "BFF" status with your horse;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Have at least 3 friends who are not related to you (at least one of them must be in the Criminal career);
Your home must be surrounded by trees, hidden away from the main road, with no electronics (TVs, Computers) allowed.
Donate §1,000 to charity every Sunday at the mailbox. Only donate the money made by:
- selling stuff you’ve stolen from the wealthiest homes in town;
- selling stuff you’ve found in the world;
- your wins in the horse riding competitions or
- your wins at the casino (if you place one in the world).
Twice a week, you must gift/donate the stolen/found items to the poorest households or place them in a community park;
Drink from the “Fountain of Youth” and wish for youth;
Generation Three: The Song of the Sunkissed Sea 🐚🎶
Inspiration: The Little Mermaid
Your soul has always been woven from seafoam and starlight, a shimmering contrast to the rustic woods you’ve grown up in. Guided by a mellifluous melody only you can hear, you’ve traveled to the sun-drenched shores of Isla Paradiso to find the piece of your heart that was lost to the waves. Beneath the shimmering surface lies a world of silent beauty, where you must choose between the grace of the deep and a love that calls you to the shore. The tide is rising, and the next chapter is already beginning to blur…
Traits: Excitable, Childish, Virtuoso, Loves to Swim, Sailor
Lifetime Wish: Deep Sea Diver
Career: Scuba Diver (or Lifeguard)
You may not own a traditional house until you reach Level 5 of the Diving skill; you must live on a Houseboat or "camp" on a public beach to stay close to the tide;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Encounter a Kraken (or survive an attack) and befriend at least one Mermaid to learn the secrets of the deep;
Collect and display at least 8 unique seashells and 3 different messages in a bottle in your home as "Collection of Treasures";
Discover at least two Uncharted Islands;
Explore the “Davy Jones’ Locker” dive site (or any level 10 dive spot);
Marry a human Sim with the "Sailor" or "Loves the Cold" trait (your Prince from the North);
Make sure the next heir is a human Sim.
Generation Four: Once Upon A Northern Lights 📖✨
Inspiration: Sleeping Beauty
You carry a heavy legacy that feels more like a quiet curse than a royal gift. Your written words are like a haunting sweetness that seems to echo the very stars of Aurora Skies, as if every story you ink into parchment is a fragment of a fading dream. While your ancestors conquered forests and seas, you find yourself drifting through a waking world of fiction, perpetually tethered to a destiny that pulls you toward a deep, eternal rest. You must find a way to break the haze of your own solitude with a tale of awakening before the winter chill lulls your heart into a permanent sleep.
Traits: Heavy Sleeper, Bookworm, Cat person, Shy, Absent-Minded
Lifetime Wish: Professional Author
Career: Freelance Writer, Journalism or Bookstore Clerk
Have a part-time job at a bookstore as a teenager;
Surround your home with a thicket of bushes and hedges (to hide your house from the curious eyes of the town);
Have 3 cats and give them fairy-like names;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Own a home library with at least 10 unique book titles;
Faint from exhaustion or "collapse" (due to a potion or the Moodlet Manager) in a public place at least three times before you get married;
Must meet future spouse through Online Dating;
Elope at night (to represent that “Once Upon A Dream” scene);
Write and successfully publish at least one Masterpiece novel titled "The Long Sleep" before you reach the Elder stage;
Write at least 2 Children’s books and read them to your toddler kid(s).
Generation Five: The Fairest in the Plains 🍎🦄
Leaving the familiar comforts of your old life behind, you find a new beginning among the rolling hills and quiet ranches of Appaloosa Plains. Surrounded by the whispers of the forest and the gentle spirits of animals, you dream of a life defined by kindness rather than the heavy crown of your lineage. Inspired by the magical lore in your mother’s tattered storybooks, you are determined to prove that a pure heart can manifest the most elusive of legends in your own fairytale.
Traits: Animal Lover, Friendly, Green thumb, Neat, Technophobe
Lifetime Wish: Fairy Tale Finder
Master the gardening skill;
Have 7 friends (Sims that are not related to you);
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Adopt 3 pets (cats, dogs or horses) and reach "BFF" status with them;
Catch and house 3 small animals (e.g. a small bird, squirrel, lizard…) in your home;
Befriend and successfully pet a wild deer;
Grow an orchard of "Perfect" quality apples, but you must never eat one yourself (or anything apple-related);
Never answer the door to strangers or talk to elderly women.
Generation Six: The Rose of Moonlight Falls 🌹🌖
Inspiration: Beauty and the Beast
Born with an insatiable curiosity that far outweighs your fear, you have always wanted more than a provincial life. So, after your eighteenth birthday, you arrive in the misty streets of Moonlight Falls to seek the truth behind the town’s most whispered urban legends. Others see a monster; you see a mystery. In a town of wolves and witches, you realize that the real monsters are those who refuse to learn. Your love is a burgundy rose that grows in the snow, a stubborn flame of reason in a town of shadows.

Lifetime Wish: Renaissance Sim
Career: Private Investigator
Be an excellent “A” student and join a club as a teenager;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Reach the top of the Private Investigator career.
Have a dog (a german shepherd, dalmatian or labrador) to “help” you with your investigations;
Get engaged to a Sim who has the “Mean spirited”, “Hot headed” or “Evil” trait;
Break up the engagement after you meet the love of your life, your fiancé was a true beast to you anyway;
Your future spouse must be a Werewolf. Your first date with them should be under the full moon, so that you witness their transformation into a cursed beast;
Discover (or buy) a “Potent Cure Elixir” and, after reaching “Best Friend” status with your Werewolf, successfully throw it at them to lift the curse;
Marry the cured Sim and host a formal wedding party.
Generation Seven: The Star-Crossed Rebel 💌🗡
Inspiration: Romeo and Juliet
Beneath the terracotta roofs of a sun-drenched villa, one heart beats a rhythm that the world has forbidden. As the star-gazer on the balcony, you dream of a love so bright it could outshine the Italian moon, yet your rebellious streak ensures you won’t just dream - you’ll act. The stage is your only true sanctuary, where you can channel your defiance into soaring monologues and safely express the burning passions of a soul that refuses to be silenced. Your story is a red silk ribbon tied around the throat of a bitter feud, proving that a single, soft act of love can bridge the divide between your family’s pride and your soulmate’s heart.

Lifetime Wish: Superstar Actor
Career: Film (Acting Branch)
Successfully pull at least 10 pranks and break the curfew at least 3 times before you reach young adult years;
Join a drama club as a teenager;
Finish creating street art (murals or tags) at 5 different public venues without being caught;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Fall in love and maintain a romantic relationship with a Sim who has an "Enemy" relationship status with your parents;
Have a secret first kiss on a balcony at midnight;
Write 5 "Love Letters" to your Romeo;
Unlike Shakespeare’s story, survive your young adult years and eventually marry your forbidden lover in a private ceremony with no family members present;
Successfully "Invite Over" both your parents and your spouse for dinner at the same time without a negative social interaction occurring (the "Dinner of Truce").
Generation Eight: The Gilded Artist 🎨🖌
After years of living under the stifling, overprotective gaze of a family wary of the world’s dangers, you spent your youth confined to a high-walled estate, finding solace only in the vibrant art you painted on your bedroom walls. Your restless spirit and adventurous nature eventually pushed you to scale those very walls, trading your sheltered home for the untamed beauty of the world. Now, you carry your paints and brushes across the borders you had only ever seen from a window. Though you were raised in solitude, your heart beats for the thrill of the unknown and the many cultures waiting to be discovered beyond the horizon.
Traits: Adventurous, Artistic, Photographer's eye, Easily impressed, Socially awkward
Career: Self-Employed Painter
As a child/teen you may only ever leave the house for school;
Don’t have any friends, other than your imaginary friend, as a child and teen;
Join the art club as a teenager;
Reach at least level 8 painting before young aduldhood;
Move to a new world (Sunlit Tides) after your YA birthday;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Travel to Al Simhara, Shang Simla, and Champs Les Sims (to satisfy your adventurous spirit);
Paint at least 5 Masterpieces;
Exhibit at least 3 paintings and 3 photographs from each foreign destination you visit in a dedicated "Gallery of Freedom" within your home;
While visiting France, find a local Sim, fall in love, and bring them back to your home world to marry.
Generation Nine: The Bayou Kiss 🐸💋
Inspiration: The Princess and the Frog
The Bayou is thick with magic and mud, where the water whispers secrets to those who work for their dreams. Your biggest wish has always been to become a famous chef. You move to the marshy outskirts of Twinbrook, determined to make that wish come true by owning the finest dining establishment the town has ever seen. Though you claim you are too busy for romance, a chance encounter at a murky well is about to prove that a little bit of magic is still simmering in your blood.
Traits: Natural Cook, Ambitious, Workaholic, Good sense of humor, Handy
Favorite Color: Lime Green
Lifetime Wish: Celebrated Five-Star Chef
Career: Culinary (Chef track)
As a child, bake all available sweet treat recipes using the “Little Baker Oven” and have at least 2 successful bake sales at the park (only sell treats that are at least “Normal” quality);
Learn all French recipes (you have French ancestry after all);
Have a wood fire oven in your house;
Master the cooking skill;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Purchase a restaurant and rename it into “The Bayou’s Glow” (or something very special to you);
Host a "Feast Party" every Sunday for your neighbors to ensure no one in the bayou goes hungry;
Use the Lucky Palms “Wishing Well” to "Wish for Love". When a frog appears, kiss it to turn it into a human Sim;
Get married to your Frog Lover.
Generation Ten: The Immortal Heartbreak 🎼💔
Inspiration: The Picture of Dorian Gray
In the velvet darkness of a world that never sees the sun, you seek a beauty that never fades and a song that never ends. While others succumb to the weary march of time, you remain forever free and untouchable. The cost of being so was… your soul. You are a beautiful and hollow masterpiece that will live on long after the world has forgotten the faces of those whose hearts you have broken and left behind. Immortality is what you wanted most, or at least that's what you thought...

Lifetime Wish: Heartbreaker (or Master Romancer)
Career: Self-Employed Musician (Pianist)
Perform at 3 different public venues every week (leaving a trail of broken hearts in your wake);
Have a Grand Piano in your house;
Complete the Lifetime Wish;
Earn the “Immortal” lifetime reward (to ensure your youth remains as static as a marble statue);
Have one "secret room" in your house, where you keep the very special mirror (the "Romantique Floor Mirror" from the Store); you must gaze into it every time you break a heart to "transfer" your guilt;
Have at least one child, but maintain a distant, "cold" relationship with them (to reflect your self-obsession);
After completing your Lifetime Wish, you fall in love and get engaged (indeed 💜);
Your love dies a tragic death on your wedding day (now your heart is the one that’s broken).
