I’m making Professor Sycamore’s lab in Pokopia!! (anime accurate)
Okay so obviously it’s nowhere near done yet, collecting the resources for it has been a NIGHTMARE. I’m never touching the rough walls or yellow paint ever again after this I swear.
This isn’t gonna be entirely accurate because there’s some areas of the lab we’ve just never seen before (or I can’t get a good enough angle in the shots from the anime), and some of the wall colourings are just kinda impossible to do with how I’ve built the lab. It’s more a simplified version that you’d expect to actually find in the game as a pre-built structure, as well as me having a bit of creative freedom to express the lab how I’ve always pictured it.
The observatory’s easily my favourite area. It took me a whole day to decorate it and getting all the glass panes and skylights took about 3 days of on and off grinding for glass and iron ingots. I also kept running out of stone for the tiles, and I still need to figure out how to do a flat, glass roof, which I honestly don’t think is possible unfortunately.
There’s a LOT of habitats and houses in here. The Pokémon here vary wildly, as I kinda wanted the idea behind this build to be that after the lab was abandoned, the Pokémon did it up and slowly started coming from all over to move into this sanctuary.
Had to add a hot spring, the Pokémon here LOVE it. Umbreon, Dusclops and Smearguru are regulars, and Volcanion lives here too!
There’s also a shameless OC insert into one of the rooms lmao, hey it’s my build I can do what I want. This is my OC Millie’s room, Ampharos lives here because it’s her partner, he misses her.
Like I say this isn’t anywhere near done yet!! I have the kitchen, living room, storage room, Alain’s bedroom and Professor Sycamore’s (and Lysandre’s mweheheh) bedroom, as well as finishing up the walls by replacing the temporary dirt and grass with painted rough walls. I also need to grind a bit more clay from the Pikachu island to finish up the roof.
I knew from before I even had the game that I wanted to do this build and boy am I glad I got straight into it, I’m so happy with it. Just patiently waiting for the other two Kalos starters as well as the Garchomp line to be added to the game to really make it accurate :3
