and while i’m on a self indulgent thing? i think that any of the kids calling Bruce “dad” changes his whole demeanor. it helps him know that whatever they’re talking about is serious.

hearing his name shouted across the house does nothing for him. a hundred people say his name all day, including his kids. whatever the situation is can be fixed.

but hearing “Dad!”, cried out in battle or screamed from the other room, has him rushing to their side. what is it love and i’m here you’re alright and shh i’ve got you

“Bruce, I need help” = can’t open this large jar, have a question about math homework, need someone to look at this case file for me

“Dad, I need help” = I am hurt. I am scared. I am in danger. I need you to make things better. I need you to protect me.

Robin: "Yeah, you're a pretty successful business owner I know, with a large reach. So, if you wouldn't mind--"

You know... Most of Tims 'uncaring' and 'deadass' expression towards most things is probably because he grew up in an haunted mansion. Like, there is no way that the artifacts his parents brought home weren't cursed or at least haunted. Fucker probably knows some dead languages

moment of weakness (gayness) but i’d do a lot of crazy things to get stuck in a room with well over half of the dc women. we don’t talk about them enough. i know someone else out there wants to make out with selina. or diana. or dinah. or even starfire. OR ARTEMIS??? yeah the list goes on and on

“Bruce is emotionally incompetent and can’t step outside his own morality” yeah it’s a character flaw.

“Dick is extremely stubborn and thinks he’s right all the time” yeah it’s a character flaw.

“Jason has hypocritical tendencies” yeah it’s a character flaw.

“ Tim is entitled and doesn’t think about people when seeking results, and often acts uncaring” yeah it’s a character flaw.

“Damian is rude and bratty” yeah, it’s a character flaw.

Also, some people may not even regard everything listed above as flaws.

Having negative traits allows incredible flexibility within your characters, what makes them intriguing, what makes them easy to relate to. If you want to write people, then write people. But they can’t be good and clean all the time.
