Mammals and birds have high-energy requirements and therefore have a four-chambered hearts. This heart allows for “double circulation,” preventing deoxygenated and oxygenated blood from mixing. It has two atria, which pumps blood into, and two ventricles, which pumps blood out of the heart, thus providing the body with oxygenated blood.

Southern masked weaver males make up to 25 hanging nests per mating season (September to January) in hopes of finding a female mate. After building and dancing, a female will come to inspect the work done. If the work is not up to par (females prefer nests made with fresh material and are neat in nature), the female may dismantle the nest, making the male build another one to her liking. If the female is pleased with the build, she will stay and copulate with the male.

Went in and labeled everything on old sketches from Figure Drawing class in hopes of using these for studying anatomy.

I used the book “Artistic Anatomy” as reference.

Went to my first figure drawing this semester, I forgot how nice it is to draw the body!
