Though if this farewell letter from a PB staff member is of any indication, there's likely not much left of the Choices team 👇

Not sure what even can save the company at this point, they've alienated the fan base with so many unpopular cost cutting decisions over the years and relying too much on AI clearly hasn't helped either. It's very difficult to get back those players who've already abandoned the app, so their only hope is to retain those few still playing. I've probably already said it many times before but California's tech hubs are way too expensive areas for small game devs like PB. Romance Club dev is headquartered in Moldova and seems to be doing fine as far as I'm aware.

With the way things are going, PB should likely start thinking about the preservation of Choices. Either prepare to sell the game on Steam like Lovestruck or maybe even give the fans unencrypted game assets so we could rebuild it with ren'py or something.

We do have have some accessible libraries of Choices assets and scripts out there.

The more people keep copies safe, the less we'll lose. Videos are very important too, not only of all the "good" or diamonds choices (which are dime a dozen on YouTube).

If the worst is to arrive, there'll be a lot of people, me included, who will probably try to rebuild something to preserve our favorites books ❤️

With all the recents announcement, I can't help but thinking that it might be the end for Choices soon 🙁 I truly hope I'm mistaken.

If you could save 10 books (series are counting as 1), which would they be? I'd personnaly choose Perfect Match, TE, It lives, Nightbound, Bloodbound, Endless Summer, A Courtesan of Rome, Ride or Die, and probably Distant Shores and Platinum. I would seriously mourn Foreign Affairs, #Lovehacks, QueenB and Open Heart though...

I used the Choices assets, frankensteined a lot of different part of characters/clothes/hairs and adapted colors, light and such in Adobe Photoshop. Hope to do more soon 😁🥰 !
