Hello I'm Moss, a COVID-cautious and multiply disabled person in my mid-20s. My primary pronouns are ne/nim/nis and it/its but I also accept ne/nem/ner and nameself pronouns! I'm cool with being called any gendered adjective but pretty much only neutral and nonhuman nouns. In Hebrew my pronouns are אַתֶה/הֶא and I use neutral grammar.

I prioritise sharing described images, I tag undescribed ones as #undescribed; and on the rare occasion I'm able to write a description for someone else's post, I will do that. While this blog is pretty much SFW, I'm an adult and would rather minors not follow me.

If you don't like queer people, disabled people, POC, or neopronoun users, or if you believe in sex or gender essentialism, it should go without saying that this isn't the place for you. I block people who post about Harry Potter — I’m trans and Jewish, if you don’t value the voices of our communities over your own nostalgia, you are unwelcome here.

Though I haven't reached my goal of including at least one book in each category, I have received a request to share the list, so I'm tentatively releasing the most recent version of the Jewish Diasporas Library. I hope despite its incomplete state, it is a useful resource for someone, and that I can create an improved iteration of it with more books sometime in the near future.

I am gathering a collection of books and web pages about global Jewish Diasporas; I currently have over 90 books on the list, but I need more! If you have any nonfiction books written in or translated to English about a Jewish Diaspora community (ideally written by a member of that community), please send me the title and author(s)! I would especially appreciate books on marginalised members of Diaspora communities, such as gender minorities and disabled community members. This is an inclusive list: convert, secular, Patrilineal, and crypto-Jewish communities are all accepted and wanted.

The vast majority of the books on the list so far are about Diasporas of Southwest Asia and North Africa. I would like to add more books about the Abayudaya, Ashkenazim (preferably focused on overlooked and underrepresented aspects of Ashkenazi culture, currently I have just 2 books in this category), Balkan Jews, the Bene Israel, the Beta Israel, Bukharan Jews and Jews of Central Asia, Jews of the Caucasus, Cochin Jews, crypto-Jews and conversos, Igbo Jews, Kaifeng and East Asian Jews, the Karaites, the Krymchaks, the Lemba, Jews of Madagascar, the Paradesi, and Romaniotes. Books about Jews from regions not listed here are also welcome!

I have one or more books for every category except for Krymchaks and Madagascar Jews 💔. I will publicly share the first version of this collection once I have more books and a better organisational system in place.

The FDA announced it will limit access to Covid-19 vaccines going forward to people 65 and older and others at high risk of serious illness

hey! we thought this might be coming and here it is. and it sucks! mass vaccination is one of our best tools at preventing the spread of COVID. public comment is open until 11:59 PM EDT on the 23rd of May.

Do you want your healthcare workers and first responders to be able to get covid vaccines so they don't give you covid when you see them and so they're not themselves sick and needing sick days to recover, leaving healthcare and public services facilities short staffed? I want a fully staffed hospital, fire station, police station, etc.

Do you want public servants like utility workers and agency staff and park rangers to be able to get vaccinated against covid so they're not sick instead of fixing our roads and bridges and sewers and power grid and giving us access to public resources like public benefits and public parks? I want those fully staffed too.

Do you want teachers and childcare workers to be able to get covid vaccines so they don't get such e and need sick days and so they don't get sick from all the kids they see? I want a fully staffed school and fully staffed daycare.

Do you want families with little kids who weren't old enough to get a covid vaccine to access boosters for the older kids and the parents to help keep the little kids safe? I don't want to give my baby cousin covid at his birthday party.

Do you have any immune compromised people in your extended family? Cancer patients? Dialysis patients? Organ transplant recipients? I don't want to kill them.

This is a big fucking problem. Tell the FDA that this will negatively affect you. Public comments, whether under your name or anonymously, must be considered by the FDA. Get your comments in by May 23 at 11:59pm Eastern.
