@mothman206
cant be at the function (fandom) without realising how pervasive misogyny, racism and amatonormativity is
Robby is a misogynist- no question about it
BUT
I love Robby becuase he is a REALISTIC depiction of a sad fuckin guy with a stressful job and abandonment issues.
That's one thing I love about this show in general— Dennis was a homeless, exhausted, twenty something med student who comes from a religious tiny town in Nebraska and as a result is a bumbling, clumsy, nervous wreck his first day in the ER. And a doctor who is not confident is not a good doctor or one you would feel safe haveing as your doctor but it is realistic. It would make no sense to make him super confident and infallible.
LANGDON IS AN ADDICT! Of course he lied to his boss and mentor bc he doesn't want to get caught even if he's trying to convince himself what he's doing isn't wrong and he's doing better by keeping it a secret. He is endangering patients, staff, himself left and fuckin right that first season and that is real. Code of conduct and medical ethics exist for a reason, someone is out there doing thIs exact shit in a real ER.
And there are SO many more because almost every single charecter has there own storyline that makes them relatable, realistic, and unresolved. We consume so much UNrealistic media that I think when people see charecters actually reminiscent of real shitty people they are freaked out. Some of our main characters DO suck and in real life would not be people you want to be around, or want to be your doctor. And that imo is what makes this show so compelling and brutal and beautiful.
Characters don’t have to be perfect. Them being flawed makes them better characters. The best part of this show is that it’s not heroes and foils, it’s realistic, complex people in difficult situations.
sure heated rivalry has enemies to lovers but interview with the vampire has enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers to

i don’t care about a ship in the pitt as much as a care about platonic whitsantos. found family will always be number one.
One of my favourite restaurants being a filming location in the vampire lestat is awesome because wow cool that's two of my favourite things having a surreal crossover but also because it gave me the inspiration to make this for my friend's birthday
Computa make these guys gay and super guilty about it❗️❗️
The Vampire Lestat 3.06 "Montreal"
So, Lestat gets to be held and comforted over his properly fleshed-out abuse without it becoming a seasons-long punchline or tool to advance someone else. That's nice.
And I spend every fucking second of nowhere looking for her. And where is she? Why is she not here with me?
dapitt at da beach
i miss dennis whitaker
the only thing giving me strength in these trying times is knowing that his hair will be longer in the third season
can we fill this room with thank yous
iwtv seasons one and two was like being tucked into bed and read a heartbreaking story by Louis du pointe du lac. The Vampire Lestat is like your blackout drunk uncle trying to tell you an anecdote at a family gathering
